Recommended Roof Rack for 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid Sedan

Question:

I would like to mount a cargo box on my 2014 Accord Hybrid. The trunk has very little space because of a battery, and I am looking for more storage space, especially on trips. Based on what I researched online, please correct me if I am wrong 1. I can mount upto 165 lbs on the Roof of the Accord 2. Cargo Boxes and roof racks will come close to 50lbs, which means I will need a max rack capacity of 120ish lbs. Do you recommend a Rhino rack Vortex or Euro or a Round/Square Yakima/Thule bars? I couldnt find too many reviews on the Rhino racks. What do you think are the advantages or disadvantages? Will I be able to mount cargo boxes from different carriers onto all of these bars? Thanks!

When it comes to a roof rack for your 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid, I recommend taking a look at the Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack with Vortex Aero Crossbars, # RR32SR. This roof rack is not only economical but it is aerodynamic so it is quiet and the low profile, from-the-factory look makes this my favorite style of roof rack.

I was not able to confirm the roof capacity of your Accord but I can tell you that the Rhino Rack RS 2500 system will have a weight capacity of 132 lbs when mounted on the roof of your vehicle. Since you will always be bound by the component with the lowest weight capacity, I do recommend contacting your local Honda dealer to confirm that the 132 lbs would not exceed the roof's capacity. Unfortunately I could not locate a weight capacity in the online owner's manual.

The next step would be to choose your cargo box. Most boxes will work with round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars so this shouldn't be a problem. I have included a link to all of our cargo boxes that will work with the aero crossbars.
