What Size Shaft Fits Heavy Duty 2,000 Foot Pound Ramp Springs
Question:
With the center hole being 1.5 inches, if I were to use a 1.5 inch bar, would the opening in the center get smaller as tention is put on the spring? Should I use a smaller than 1.5 inch bar ?

Expert Reply:
If stretched far enough the coils in ramp spring # RS16933LH can get a little smaller. A 1-7/16 inch diameter bar could work better but they are designed for a 1-1/2 inch bar so you shouldn't have trouble. This is the left hand side spring. For the right hand side use # RS16933RH.
