Trailer Hitch for a 2010 Ford Flex with or without Dual Exhaust
Question:
I am confused. The Curt 13110 shows up as being for a Flex with Dual Exhaust, but the pictures and the installation instructions show a Ford Flex with exhaust on one side with a dual tip. A dual exhaust has a pipe on each side I thought. I have a Flex like in the instructions, one muffler on one side with two tips on it. Is the 13110 the right one for it?

You are correct, dual exhaust is exhaust on each side of the vehicle, not a dual tip on just one side. But the hitch fits either style.
The installation instructions for Curt trailer hitch # C13110 actually do mention dual exhaust. You have to scroll further down to the plain black and white version of the instructions to see the note which appears before step 1. The note says: The Ford Flex Ecoboost and the Lincoln MKT models have dual exhaust. Repeat instruction for passenger side. This is on the very last page in the linked instructions.
It just so happens that we haven't had a model that had dual exhaust in to install a hitch which is why there isn't a video for it. The Curt hitch # C13110 only fits models with dual exhaust. So for your single exhaust with two tips, you would instead want the Curt hitch # 13551.
