Speaker 1: Today we're going be taking a look at Yates Bow Roller for Boat Trailers, part number is YR300Y.Now for this assembly with the bells included, you'll want part number YR300Y-325Y.Now this replacement roller is designed to ease loading and unloading of your boat in its basic design, but it's made of a thermal plastic rubber. This rubber is designed to be much stronger than a standard rubber, and it's going to be softer than a polyurethane. With that material, we also won't have to worry about the roller causing any marks on our boat. It's designed to absorb road shock as we head down, so the stresses that our trailer experience won't be passed through to the boat.Now, just to give you an idea of the dimensions so you can ensure it's going to work for your application, the roller itself is going to be 3" wide, and it has a 3" diameter. The hole going through the middle is going to be 1/2", so it's going to work with any system that has a 3" requirement with a 1/2" bolt or pin.The first step in your installation process will be removing the existing roller if you have them on the front. You see here, our end rollers are in good shape still, but you can see that middle's really torn up.
This uses one of the pressure pin style holders. It's just a cap on each side that you typically just knock on there, so in our case, we're going to have to pry that off. If yours has a bolt, you'll just want to remove the bolt.Now with that off, we'll just slide our components out. You can see our shaft here is in pretty good shape. We're just going to be reusing this.
We're going to put a new hat on the end. Part number there is going to be CE10800. You could also use a replacement bolt. However, if you use inside rollers like this, with the thickness of about 1", that bolt's not going to be long enough.For the bolt itself, the part number is CE11096ZY. Our washers are part number CE10961ZY.
We're going to be using two of those and the nylon lock nut, part number CE10812ZY.Now the kit that we mentioned earlier is going to have all the hardware we just talked about. It's going to have your middle roller and it also has the bell off the side, so if you can't recycle your original bumpers, you can replace them.I want to take our parts here. We're just going to slide these back together. Then we'll just need to push our cap on here. Item is as described. Installation was easy.
I installed 3 of these rollers on an anchor retrieval system for my offshore boat. The rollers guide the rope, chain, and anchor as the windlass retrieves the anchor. The rollers are repeatedly hit by the chain links and the anchor shackle, then finally by the anchor as it is pulled into a stowed position by the windlass. This is a much more rigorous service than on a boat trailer, but the rollers have been in service for about a year now with no chips or tears from the shackle.
I've bought a tow hitch and parts for a boat trailer I was building. These guys have the best service, the cheapest price, and the highest quality parts. I would rather wait the couple days it takes to get my order and have it right than to have to scurry from store to store dealing with some sales person that has a whole 8 hours training (maybe) trying to find what you need. Still works great and doesnt leave black marks on my boat!
Ended up not being the correct size for what I needed.
Replaced 40 year old black rollers with two of these on an EZ Loader trailer for a 20' center console boat. I got tired of the black marks. Fast, efficient ordering and delivery. Easy installation. First time customer and will be back for future needs. I like the video reviews etrailer provides on their products!
The first product came defective. There was a large bulge on one of the flat sides which prevented the roller from being able to spin. It appeared to be a manufacturer's defect. I called etrailer and they sent a replacement. The new one is the way it should be and is free of any defects. I feel etrailer should have sent the replacement with a higher level priority (as it took forever to come in), but I'm just pleased that it arrived with no defects.
In short, it does the job. It's a boat trailer roller so let's not go crazy with the review. It arrived in a timely manner. Good quality items. I like that they are non-marring and the steel is heavy gauge. They are easy to install and adjustable to whatever height is needed. If you need a good roller for your trailer, this is a good choice.
First I would say the people who work at etrailer are very helpful, considerate and knowledgeable. These particular rollers arrived on time and were exactly like the description. Thank you Michelle S. & etrailer !

Excellent product. Replaced defective black rubber roller and end caps on my Stratos Boat Trailer
I ended up using this a little differently than intended, but it works like I want it to. I chucked it up in my lathe and widened and flattened out the middle section and squared off the corners and used it as a roller for a 2" wide winch strap. It looks great.
Product is exactly what I expected. Price was great. I needed help from etrailer. Got that quickly. The USPS jacked us around on the delivery. That was unfortunate. Don't like using the USPS. But, overall I would gladly purchase from etrailer again.
Direct replacement for the beat-up black rubber bumper I wanted to replace. I have been using it for a year and its holding up well and the boat has no visible scuffs.
I use my boat trailer a lot. Living on a lake I take the boat out almost every time it rains from early April to December. Plus at least four road trips per year. The part still looks like new.

Rollers/bumpers work better than original and they do a better job at not marring the boat which was typical for the black rollers.
I wanted a softer material than the typical hard polyurethane type rollers. I even matched a 3" center bow roller with 4" bells. This matched the original configuration on my trailer. etrailer provided a great price and fast shipping.
