2020 Lexus RX 350 L

Great for my bike rack and hauling my bikes around on my 2020 Lexus RX350L. I wanted the 2” inch receiver for my heavy duty Yakima rack. Instructions were slightly unclear about how much of the bumper facia had to be trimmed. I had to trim the plastic bumper facia the entire length of the receiver. Also, two of the brackets between the frame and bumper had to be removed to allow clearance for the receiver. A lot more modification of the bumper and brackets than I expected. The good news is you don’t see the trimmed plastic when you look at the car. The other downside is that you lose the kick sensor to open the hatch. It get blocks from the receiver. I am trying to see if I can move it or trim more plastic to expose it. The overall appearance of the receiver is nice from normal view. You only see the receiver which is very nice, looks like factory. Have another strong person helping you with the installation and all will be well.

Ordering and delivery was fast and easy. Install (by myself) was not too bad. Had to get creative to get the last bolt started as it was a tight fit and just enough flex in the mounting tabs to make it work.
Directions for trimming the panels under the vehicle were a nice bonus, but for some reason the panels on my vehicle were different than what was depicted on the drawing. (Lexus RX350L)

Still working great. I haven’t towed a trailer yet, only bike racks and cargo racks. Solid hitch with no issues.

Hitch arrived a day earlier than estimated. Thanks to etrailer’s tracking link, and a video link showing installation, I was able to prep the undercarriage for installation before the hitch arrived. A bit cumbersome but I was able install the hitch by myself. Only issue I had was that one of the bolts wouldn’t line up without using some leverage to spread the hitch’s support arms. Total install time was around 1 hr. This is the second hitch I’ve purchased from etrailer and installed. Both have been relatively easy installs. I’m a happy customer

2020 Lexus RX 350 L

This curt hitch fit my 2022 RX350L. The six holes in the hitch were mostly aligned, although it did require use of a crowbar to open the hitch slightly for the last two bolts. The install took under an hour and I am pleased with the result. At some point I may add a wiring harness too.

by:
2018 Toyota Highlander

The looks are perfect , it looks great on the highlander and feels rock solid. My only complaint was that the mounting holes did not line up correctly, about 1/8” off on 2 out of the 6 mounting holes, separate sides, which does not sound like much but try flexing a trailer hitch haha, I had to flex it with a crowbar and wood to spread the hitch bar and line it up..it added some time to the job. Nevertheless the hitch is on and it looks great and the quality seems top notch. I do recommend this hitch and it would have 5 stars if I didn’t Have that 1 issue.

It sounds like you had a case of the Flexed Hitch, and I am glad to see you were able to correct the bend to be able to install it! This happens frequently in the shipping process where the hitch can become flexed. We even have a help article dedicated to it and I have linked it below if you ever need any tips on how to correct a flexed hitch.

After a year of use this is still a very solid trailer receiver, looks great on the highlander as well, hidden very well.. looks way better than the factory trailer receiver.

After a small hiccup with the wrong hitch being sent, this was a flawless install and top-notch customer service. They have made a customer for life. Oh, and the hitch is great too. We’re across the country now with 10K miles pulled so far. Thank you George!!

After a year of use and abuse, this hitch is absolutely rock solid. We’ve used it with our trailer and various accessories made for haulingstoragecamping. Highly recommend.

2022 Lexus RX 350 L

This hitch does not clear the bracket holding the pre wired connections for trailer lights on my Lexus RX350L. It is located passenger side above the exhaust outlet. The bracket is factory installed. I am using this for a bike rack so I removed the wiring connection from the bracket which allows the bracket to be pushed up enough to correctly bolt the hitch on.

by:

Worked except one mounting hole had to be re-drilled, so it was not just a bolt on application.

by:
2015 Toyota Highlander

The fit, installation and capabilities were just as advertised. With The help of a buddy with all the right hand tools, we installed the trailer hitch in less than an hour. I use the hitch for a bike rack...tested with heavy e-bikes driving 2000 miles round trip across 4 states.

by:

Looks great on the car. I like that you can pretty much only see the receiver, where on some other models you can see the tubes. I wanted to go OEM, but couldn’t justify paying more than double.
Installation videos were very helpful. There was a little challenge getting one of the six bolts on. I tried spreading the arms a little, but didn’t have much luck. I found the after getting a bolt, loosely, in each side, then installing the rest on the passenger side, I could use a ratcheting clamp to get a enough play to install the last bolt (driver’s side toward front). I then went back and torqued all to spec.
Please excuse the dirty car in the pics.

Your ad for this hitch didn't list it fitting my 2021 Lexus rx450hl. But it fit perfectly with minor cutting of some plastic under body panels. It looks great and all you see is the receiver everything else is hidden

Hitch was ez to put on took about 45 mins. I pull a light weight trailer for lawn supplies once in a while but use the hitch primarily for my bike rack. I did no drilling it bolted right in after cutting some plastic panel. Which I shaved and replaced. No more to say it was a piece of cake!!

2019 Lexus RX 450h L

The install was easy but required two persons. The instructions were very good. For those with the Lexus RX 450hL, this hitch fit like a glove. Now I can haul my two eBikes with ease. Thanks etrailer!

Looks like an OEM hitch and functions well. We take our bikes everywhere we travel. Don’t pull a trailer, but for us this hitch put the U back in SUV for us. Anyone who has a 2019 450hL with the spare tire underneath the back, this hitch plaits like a glove using the existing tapped and threaded holes. Good job Curt!!

by:

Great quality and price! Excellent customer service - everyone was very helpful, provided information and followed up on order. The hitch was relatively easy for one person to install, required minimal cutting and looks great!

by:

No complaints in service. It was hard to install.Gave up and took it to a dealer,he found it difficult but was able to press fit it.

by:

Added this to my new to me 2015 Highlander Limited. I really liked because it is really hidden under the car other then the receiver. The first one came and it was bent, so it did not line up with the holes in the frame. Contacted etrailer and they quickly sent a new one, which installed perfectly. So other then that glitch, it was a perfect experience. Would highly recommend this product.

by:

The hitch arrived promptly, and the installation was not difficult. The direction for installation were good, and the how to videos were very helpful. I'm satisfied with both the product and the service, thanks.

by:

Excellent trailer hitch for the 2016 Toyota Highlander. I use it for hauling Jet Ski's. Installation was easy while using a jack and a bucket to hold it up for me.

by:

Excellent quality and I’m glad I got the one that tucked under the bumper because it looks like it came from the factory that way. Took me about 1.5 hours for the install but I took more time to trim the plastic pieces than normal people would.

2020 Lexus RX 350 L

A few weeks ago I installed the Curt C13394 hitch from etrailer.com on my 2020 Lexus RX450hL. etrailer and Curt don't seem to know that this hitch which is meant for the 350L does also fit the 450hL but it fits perfectly. The install was fairly easy, I did it all myself except I had my son help me to lift it into place and get the first few bolts in place. The videos on etrailer are helpful, but there isn't one for a Lexus RX for this hitch. However, there is one for another hitch that installs very similar, so suggest watching the Lexus RX350L install video. The biggest task was probably cutting the driver's side panel to go over the hitch since they don't give you a template or anything. What I did was pushed it into place to see where it hit the hitch and then tried to just trim the minimum amount necessary with a Dremel and a cutting blade. The second picture shows the panel after I trimmed it and re-installed it. The third picture is the front part of that same panel to show where I trimmed it there.

I won't be towing with this vehicle so I only installed the hitch and didn't bother with the electrical hook up. I just need it for a bike rack and possibly a cargo carrier. Most of the time I only need to carry one bike so this will allow me to have a small single bike rack most of the time and I can add room for a second rack only when I need it.

I'm very happy with this setup. Attached are some pictures.

2018 Toyota Highlander

First of all this is my fifth or sixth purchase from "etrailer.com" their prices cannot be beat!! Thanks for that. This hitch was installed on my "new to me" 2018 Toyota Highlander Limited. As a very qualified Toyota tech was doing the install, we did not exactly follow the video instructions that were for a 2019 and 2017 (attached to my order). Anyway the install was clean and well done, the large "tab" over the exhaust was cut/trimmed away. The other two small arms/tabs were NOT removed and added to the clean install. My only issue, would be that there was no "retention" port/plug for the 4 pin wire harness, so it hangs free. See pictures. Otherwise very happy. thanks again etrailer.

by:
2019 Lexus RX 450h

I ordered this for my 2019 Lexus RXHL hybrid SUV. With only minor cutting for the install, it fits perfectly. It's says on the site doesn't fit, but it does. I do have to turn off the automatic break sensor so it doesn't auto break when I have the bike rack on. Only git it fir bike rack or minor tow like luggage tow.

Fit great on our Lexus RX450hL even though not a listed vehicle.
It does prevent the foot-wave hatch-opening feature from working.

2016 Toyota Highlander XLE with Tow Package:

Ordering
was easy and the shipping was very fast. Only a few scratches on the paint job which was really remarkable considering it's shipped only in cardboard. A quick hit with Rust-Oleum glossy black and it was as good as new. The enclosed instructions were ok, but somewhat lacking in detail and the pictures were almost too dark to make out what they were trying to demonstrate.

Step #4 about trimming the plastic fascia tabs for the lower fascia have zero detail, pics or diagrams. It becomes pretty obvious when you hoist the hitch into position, but that's an awkward time to discover what you have to trim.

The only reason this is a 3 vs 5 stars is the slots for the mounting bolts did not line up with the weldnut hole in the frame rail. And it wasn't due to shipping since it was the forward slot on the driver's side and the middle slot on the passenger side. Ultimately I was able to get the bolts in, but they only went in with a liberal coating of naughty words and about 14lbs of elbow grease.

Had the precut slots in the hitch lined up properly with the weldnut holes, my rating would have been a 5-Star, so your mileage may vary and your slots might line up perfectly.

by:
2019 Toyota Highlander

This is my second hitch purchases from etrailer. I would have given 5 stars however, like noted in some reviews my hitch too was bent, almost a inch off. The best way I found to bend it back in shape is use two 4x4 post pieces and a hydraulic jack, used from my Yukon.. Otherwise it is only a 30 minute job to install. I recommend, since this seems to be a issue from time to time, is place either a 1x1 or 2x4 or other ridged device to ensure the hitch maintains its shape during shipping. You guys have great vids showing how to install. Highly recommend your products.

Thank you...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2018 Toyota Highlander
The hitch I recommend for your 2018 Toyota Highlander is the Curt Class III hitch part # C13394 because it's mostly hidden, has great towing capacities (more than you'd need), installs easily, and is priced great too. The best 2" trailer hitch receiver for your 2019 Toyota Highlander is the Curt # C13394 because of its sleek hidden-crosstube design paired with a superior powder coat finish that tends to last longer than those from other manufacturers. This will greatly reduce corrosion and rust build-up over time. Easiest way is to install the 7-way kit part # 22119 which is custom fit for your vehicle and then use a 7-way to 5-way adapter part # A10-7275VP and you'd be set.
