Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Thule replacement plate box support. This is going to replace one plate box support for your Thule adventurer cargo box. Because this is a direct replacement from Thule, you can trust it is gonna fit right in place of that original. But just to give you some extra reassurance, you can see this is right at 5-1/2 inches long by about 2-1/2 inches wide and only a 16th of an inch thick. So if you are needing to replace that plate box support for your Thule adventurer cargo box, this is gonna be exactly what you need.

First off, etrailer was the only company that gave me any hope of finding a key to fit a Karrite roof box from the early '90s. Thule told me they didn't support the old stuff from a company they acquired, but etrailer responded that there was a good chance the Thule N key of the same number would fit the Karrite lock with a 3 digit code. They were right and I'm back in business. The latches for the explorer box were an exact fit as well. The explorer spring hinges and Adventurer box support plates required some modification to work, but I expected that going in. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the Thule change key that I added to meet the minimum order for free shipping. The spring hinges are a bit weak for the larger box which likes to distort the lid when it is being opened or closed. They work well at holding the lid open, but I bent one of the arms while closing the lid. At some point I'll reinforce the arms where they are a bit thin near the pivot. Etrailer helped make the old box functional so I didn't have to spend 10x as much for a new one.

Worked well with my Thule Cargo Box, I used this on the underside of my old Thule Cargo Box (15+ years old), because the plastic was starting to get hair line cracks if I tightened the 3-wing hand knob (TH10378) too tight, and I used the plate box support to fix the cracking.

I misplaced one of the u-bolts and plates for my X-Cargo Sport 20 rooftop carrier. Jackie from ETrailer was BEYOND helpful with locating the correct parts for my specific model carrier. When I bought my minivan used, the sellers included a roof rack with plastic box attachment. Unfortunately, they had lost one of the metal anchor plates. I thought I would need to rig something to use in its place, until I found an identical replacement on etrailer. Thanks for stocking this plate and making my rooftop carrier usable!

I needed two different pieces from the mounting system to a used rooftop carrier I purchased locally. Etrailer was the only place that I could find them in stock online. bought a second hand thule summit last Sunday that was missing tbe retaining plate. I really needed the carrier for vacation. Summit iz an older model and needed the plate by thurs. etrailer got the brand new plate to me on time by shipping it Sunday. Eternally thankful to them.

these are unpainted replacement plates just a tad thinner in thickness than the originals that came with our Thule Frontier box. I have no doubts they will be more than fine as a replacement.

As stated by other previews, this product is slightly thinner than the original and does not come with any sort of finish on it. A quick coat of primer and some padding and it is a solid replacement. Excellent service from etrailer.com
