Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement plated five-hole U-bolt reinforcement bracket for the Thule Sidekick cargo box. Now, this bracket is designed to fit the Thule Sidekick roof mounted cargo carrier box. Usually when you get that carrier box, the cargo box will include four of these in the mounting hardware kit. This is just for a quantity of one.
Basically, this mounting bracket is used as a reinforcing plate with the U-bolts and the threaded knobs to attach your cargo box to the crossbars on the top of your vehicle. The length on this is five inches long. I'm gonna get a ruler out here and show you. There's your five inches long. And the width of it is right at one inch wide.
And it is for a quantity of one reinforcement bracket. But that should do it for the review on this replacement plated five-hole U-bolt reinforcement bracket for the Thule Sidekick cargo box.

I purchased a Sears X-Cargo 20 rooftop box used off Craigslist, and it had all of the hardware except this part.

I can't say much about the product as it is a replacement part for the one I lost from an existing cargo carrier. The difference, however, is the service. As usual, the transaction was seamless for which I got a quick acknowledgment. After that, delivery was within the promised timeframe.

The mounting brackets I purchased for my Karrite Voyager carrier fit perfectly. They will replace the tie down straps I had been using which will make the unit more secure as well as making it easier to attach the carrier to the vehicle. Great info on the etrailer site that made choosing the right product easy.

Great product. Just make sure you order all the parts because they are sold separately(wingnut, ubolt and ubolt bracket. The sales clerk I talked to on the phone was very helpful and let me know when my product would arrive. She saved me a ton of money on shipping.
