Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a real quick look at this Thule replacement mounting kit. This is going to replace the hardware that you need to successfully install your SideKick cargo box. And on your screen, for your reference, I do have the model number of that cargo box that this kit is going to fit. And this kit includes everything that you see here on my table before me. You're going to get four U-bolts, eight knobs, four backing plates, the vinyl stripping, the circles, two locks, two keys, and the lock mounting brackets and then all of the mounting screws, screw covers, washers, and nuts that you are going to need to successfully install your SideKick cargo box.
Instructions are also included to walk you through the installation process. And this is a direct replacement from Thule. So what that means for you is you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that. This is going to be the hardware that you need if you're looking for replacement hardware for your SideKick cargo box. So if you are needing to replace that hardware to install your SideKick cargo box, this is going to be exactly what you need.

We lost a mounting part to our Thule Sidekick roof rack carrier several years ago. I looked online for replacement parts a few years ago but couldn't find them. We recently needed our roof carrier but still couldn't use it since we were missing some parts. I looked online again and was very happy to find a replacement part set on etrailer.com. Instead of having to buy a whole new roof carrier because we were missing a few small parts, we were able to spend a lot less on this set of replacement parts that includes all the parts that come with the Sidekick carrier. Instead, I recommend using the # TH04958. This may require drilling new holes, but without a direct replacement for the U-bolt clamp a full set of replacement hardware is the best option to continue using your cargo box. I would also recommend sealing the old holes with something like the # LT37467.

I may have a solution for you, but the correct mounting hardware for your Thule 250 is no longer available. Essentially what this means is that there is not a confirmed fit for replacement mounting hardware and you would likely need to fabricate new hardware, which would most likely mean drilling new holes and sealing old ones.
