What's up everybody it's AJ with etrailer.com Today we're gonna be checking out from Valterra this 45 degree elbow. It's gonna clear, that way it's going to go on the rig side of things, so when you go to use the dump tank, you can clearly identify from a distance when it's done unloading all its stuff or if you still got some more to go. Let's check it out. Taking a closer look at it, we've got a three inch diameter here for the lug side and a three inch here, connection for the bayonet side. So you're gonna put your hose up on this one and then hook up to your rig on this side. And that way it's gonna allow you to look while you're dumping it and see when it's done.
We're here at our rig and we're gonna hookup the elbow. Just want to point out the rubber seal here on the inside. That's gonna protect against any leakage or fumes getting out. So the bayonet connection, you just slide on there, twist it over, and now it's in place. I'll bring up our hose, attach it.
Now it's all set up. Stepping back a bit, you can kind of see how it reduces the stress on the hose with that 45 degree angle. It's not coming straight off of that connection. So there's not a weight on that hose, that and it just brings it out just a little bit more. And the bend is in the elbow now, so the stress is going there instead.
I'm ready to go ahead and dump some of the tank. So we're gonna go ahead and do that so you can see how easy it is to watch it go. Overall, that's how it works. It's really easy. It was helpful to see this fluid go through there and know when it was done.
You can easily just push that lever back in and then clean everything back up after that. Now they do offer another one that's more at a 90 degree angle. So if you have a harder to reach spot underneath there, when you go to attach that, you might want to look into that one. That one will give you a little bit more of that stress on the elbow, rather than your hose here. Just keeping your hose working longer. Well, that does it. Thanks for hanging out. And I hope this helped..

We use these two fittings on our class A motor home. The 5" long straight line fitting alignes the waste to the opening, so the 45 degree will be centered in the access opening. This permits the waste pump to attach in an upright position. Since the waste pump should not be run empty, I can see when the tanks are empty and stop the pump when necessary. When using the flush out, I can tell when the waste has cleared.
Perfect fir.
Works as advertised, clear view of the operation and rinsing of tanks, makes the whole experience easier. This 45 angle allows, in my opinion, for a better flow of the waste when compared to the more common 90 angle. Connection to a typical flex hose is fast and does not require extra clearance under the RV.
I had an older model of this product I use on my class A motorhome. In April during my yearly cleaning I accidentally broke it and needed a replacement. Several years ago I discovered etrailer.com as a very reliable source for parts so I didn't hesitate to go to their site. I not only found the part I needed but to my delight it has been improved since I first bought my original one about 4 years ago. The part arrived sooner than expected and I am back in business. Thanks etrailer.com
I needed a familiar RV sewer connector and shopped for it online ... etrailer beat everybody on the price, shipped. I put in my order on the weekend and they just jumped all over it ... a little while later I got a notice it had been shipped. Even though I opted for the low-budget shipping, it still arrived during the week and in perfect condition. I guess to these guys, it isn't the size of the order that matters - they just make sure to give outstanding customer service to everyone. Hey etrailer, whoever handled my order is a 5-star ace. Many thanks for a job well done.
Ok, so yes, watching the stuff running out of your black water tank is probably not the most desirable part of a camping trip. That said, this "picture" as they say is worth a thousand words (many of them not worthy of printing). The flushing feature on the tank is pretty much a guessing game if you can't see when the tank is clean. It works and seals as expected, and as an added bonus it changes the angle of outflow from straight out to out-down-angled which is handy.
The connector I received seems to be well made and sturdy. I had ordered it hoping to fix a problem where the dump station receiver is recessed making it impossible to get a secure connection with the standard 90 degree connector. I was hoping the 45 degree would work. But the lugs on one side are not configured to attach to the screw in sewer connection.
Great product for my fifth wheel septic. My pull handles were to far back for me to get at them. This product extends my septic tank rods so I can reach them better.
After one year / camping season. The clear view sewer attachment is just what I needed. To make sure my sew tank was clean and empty.
My first order through etrailer was excellent. Easy web site, great price, fast shipping, and product worked as advertised.
Future needs, etrailer will be the first place I look.
Essential gear for RVers... Makes it easy to tell when your black tank is flushed clear. I was surprised the first few times I used it at how much "stuff" was still coming out after a couple of flush/rinse cycles!
Just what I needed. Having occasional problems with a leaking black tank valve and this is a great telltale!
You folks have a great website and parts selection!
Haven't used it yet. Maybe in a week. looks like it ought to work.
