Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today we're looking at Coghlan's Watertight Storage Capsule. If you are looking for an affordable, convenient way to carry some small items with you in a nice, secure, convenient way, this might be the item for you. Let's take a closer look at it today. From money to Lens cloth, the First aid items or Repair kits, these capsules will find a place on just about any outing. What I did is I collected a few items of my own to kind of give you an idea of what this would look like if you use it in this storage capsule.
I have a lens cloth that might be a little bit on the big side here for this particular capsule. But if you fold it or roll it in a certain way, looks like it would fit in there pretty snugly and something like that. Or if you need to take just a few items, such as some Ibuprofen, a small Band-Aid, and I have some Antibiotic cream here. You can just kind of fold that up and that will go in here with a nice fit. Again, though, close up and keep it nice and secure.
And of course, if you need to keep an emergency stash of cash, this would work beautifully for that as well. Now what's nice about this particular capsule, it is watertight. So you can be confident that because of this O-ring that we have here, anything that you have in this capsule will be nice and dry in case you get it wet in rain, or you might drop it in a little pool of water. This is made out of aluminum and it has a nice glossy black finish. And it makes it, for having it to be very lightweight, which is very nice.
It also comes included with this nice Carabiner. So you can securely attach that to your keys, to your belt loop, to your backpack or any other items. Nice spring enclosure. Spring enclosure there we'll make sure that it is securely on whatever you attach it to. Again, you can't use this particular carabiner for climbing.
If you're looking for something like that, make sure you find one that is rated for climbing. The overall length of this Carabiner not including the key ring and the Carabiner. I said carabiner, the overall length of this Storage Capsule not including the carabiner is sitting right at about three and 3-4 inches long. And the width is sitting right at about an inch. It looks like an inch wide. Now, if you we're looking for a larger storage capsule, may I recommend Coghlan's Watertight 5 inch long storage capsule.
