Great quality, easy installation, made adding shelves to my trailer a breeze. I screwed them into 3/4 inch plywood, instead of the trailer framing, which reduces the weight capacity, however, i'm not storing anything NEAR what these shelves can hold. Everything's screwed together, and the shelves are removable/adjustable. (I have no experience with this type of project.

Great item. Made a bed in my trailer.

This setup works great and is very stable. Has held me and my wife comfortably. Put a futon mattress on top!

by:

Perfect for adjustable shelving or other items you want to move up and down in your garage or enclosed trailer! I even used them to make a barrier in my tool trailer to keep things in place.

by:

I received the products just as described it too about 4 working days.
I plan on building shelves into my enclosed trailer for camping gear.

Well I love the tracks you can do so much with if you do not own any your missing the boat here. I have them in the trailer and they work like a dream. You have lots of adjustments with them.

by:

I installed this track in a horizontal fashion on the side wall all the way around the inside of my trailer. This allows me to secure any size and shape load to the the wall of the trailer as opposed to just trying to tie it off over the top, much more secure and adaptable than just using the tie offs on the outside of the trailer. It was easy to install and is a snap to use.

by:

As requested, here are some pics of my e-track installation. I find the raised e-tracks in the floor very problematic and dangerous so I made sure they were recessed. This is now an extremely versatile cargo trailer.

by:

Nice, strong construction of the chocks, but the paint doesn't seem durable. Rachets and track appear to be good quality

by:

Received my vertical E track along with my spare tire holder and installed it last night in temperatures that dip down to 9 degrees ! to say the least installed it in record time.
Had no issues with either product I gave both products a five star rating.

by:

Great product, easy to install. I used a 2nd section as a backing plate on our Aluma TK1 trike trailer, with 1/4 inch galvanized bolts, every 3-4 holes. fast shipping, great pricing.

by:

I have an enclosed trailer and needed some way to secure items to the sides. This product is just the right thing for this. I have used these to secure items and they work great. Highly recommend this product.

by:

Well made vertical support to secure items to the trailer wall.

by:

Works great when vertical strapping is needed and space is tight!

by:

I haul live bait on a galvanized trailer. The e-track system is ideal for my application. The salt water doesn't affect anything and works great. I also use it to secure UTVS. I couldn't be more happy with the products and the service.

by:

Modified this cargo trailer to haul RC airplanes(too big to fit in my pickup) and remove the upper deck to make it useful for hauling other items. This makes a truly utility cargo trailer. Numerous tie downs with Etrack is really great. I have other pics if your interested. I just purchased an enclosed car hauler and I plan on installing Etrack in it. Thanks for making great products !

by:

I totally love E-Trac !! Where would I be without them ?? Totally flexible and versatile!!

by:

I mounted this vertical E-Track to the steel stud on the front inside wall of my trailer. It holds my spare tire up and out of the way very nicely. It also provides an additional place to hook my straps. The steel stud isn't very wide, so I was only able to use the mounting holes on one side of the track, and I mounted it on top of the paneling, and it's holding up very well!

by:

This is an excellent product. It was perfectly suited to what I wanted to do. See attached picture.

by:

Installed the vertical e track. Only issue I had was that the track installation holes are spaced further apart than the trailer frame is wide. Fixed the issue by using short screws to install track over frame into the plywood, than drilling holes in order to use longer screws to go thru plywood into metal framework. Loaded the trailer, strapped everything in, and drove 350 miles to the jobsite. Everything was secure upon arrival. Product worked well.

by:

I purchased the vertical tracks to be used with the storage hooks. Installation was very straight forward and I have eliminated various articles previously on the floor and are now carefully organized on the trailer wall by using the above system. Overall I am very satisfied and feel they accomplished their purpose.

by:

Good quality product. Thats why I shop etrailer because they wont sell something they dont believe to be of good quality and function. In house testing of the product before it's on the site save us customers the headache of failed products, returns & replacement. One year follow ups with their customers helps this too. Excellent Service reliable products & instructional videos.

by:

It is E-Trac what more can I say than it does what is designed to do.

by:

Etrailer supplied the equipment I needed at a great price and shipped the the northwest coast with on days from when I placed the order.
All the e-track hardware and equipment was in stock and arrived packaged very well with no shipping damage.
The e-track is heavy duty, much more than I had expected and it was easy to install.
Looking forward to upgrading my trailer even more from etrailer.

Thanks again!

by:

Worked great. Easy to install. Sturdy. Made it so we could make an adjustable height queen mattress bed frame in the trailer and store bigger things under the bed if necessary.

by:

I have six mounted in my trailer, which I used for moving to a new home and to take my wares to fine art shows. I custom made shelving for the nose of the trailer and these allow the flexibility to raise and lower the shelves, depending on what I'm haling.
can't beat the flexibility these offer,
Highly Recommend

by:

Just received the E-Track chocks for my cargo trailer. They were back ordered but everything else I ordered arrived quickly and in good shape. The chocks took a little while but the communication was very good from Cathy T. at etrailer, the customer service is outstanding.

  • Are 2 Screws Every 24 Inches Enough to Mount a 4 Foot Section of E-Track
You definitely want to attach the E-Track # E19146 to the support structure of the trailer but given that they are spaced 24 inches apart on your trailer that doesn't provide much of an attachment for a 4 foot section. What I suggest is to attach a longer board the length of the trailer attached to all of the supports and then attach the E-Track to that so that there are more connection points for everything which would be much more stable.

  • Can E-Track Install in Trailer Application Where One Side Only Attaches to Metal
Your setup would be totally fine. Especially considering this is a bed application where the force will be straight down. Every third hole on the metal side and every other on the wood would be more than adequate and would be super solid.

  • Extra Sockets for the Rackem Shelf Kit Part # RA-13
I assume you are referring to the sockets that hold the boards? If that is the case then we do not sell them separately for the Shelf Kit part # RA-13. However, a more cost effective solution would be to use the E-Track part # E19146 with the E-Track Wood Beam Socket part # 59149 as you would be able to choose the amount of shelves. The E-Track part # E19146 might also work with the Shelf Kit part # RA-13 but I can't confirm this.

Since we don't have any frame mount spare tire carriers that can mount to a 6 inch tall trailer frame, we will need to consider other possible mounting options for a spare tire carrier. If your cargo trailer is enclosed, you an use a mount like the Rackem Spare Tire Rack for Enclosed Trailers # RA-16. A similar option is the use a section of Vertical E-Track # E19146 with the Rackem Spare Tire Carrier for E-Track # RA-16HST. Either of these options will mount to the wall of the enclosed...

  • Can I Use The Vertical E-Track E19146 In The Horizontal Position For My Covered Cargo Trailer
My contact at Erickson confirmed that you are definitely able to use the Vertical E-Track # E19146 in the horizontal position. The advantage for you is that it will mount to the space you need it to fit. The only disadvantage of using the Vertical Track # E19146 is that there are less anchor points to hook into than the Horizontal E-Track, part # EM59150. To connect straps to the E-Track, you will need to use E-Track 2 Inch D-Ring, part # E59143. I have linked a video review of the D-ring...

We also offer a vertical E-track part # E19146 that is four feet long and used the same way. You will want to know which way you want the slots in the track to run for securing your band equipment. The Erickson # 59149 Wood Beam Socket you mentioned is the only product of its type that we offer. We do not offer a socket that would hold the beam in the way you describe. If you ran short lengths of e-track like # EM59150 on the trailer side walls near the front wall of the trailer, you could use the sockets holding the 2x4s on end going across the front wall of the trailer, but we have nothing that would allow you to run them along the side walls of the trailer. The storage hooks like parts # ETJR, # ETJS, # EM59142 or # EM59141 all mount in a vertical E-track slot. If you wanted to run the E-track horizontally, you'd use the standard E-track like # E19148. If you wanted to run the E-track vertically, you'd use # E19146. Either way, the hooks will clip into a vertical slot.

Since your plan is to put the etrack on the lowest part of the trailer walls as possible I think vertical etrack like part # E19146 would be the best. But if you wanted horizontal it would work well too realistically. For that part # EM19147 would be what you need.

As long as your 5 flat pin supplies brake signals from the brake controller you will be good to go. The purple (reverse) and black (12 volt) wires are not necessary and can be tied up out of the way. You will also need a 7 to 5 way adapter like # A75TB. Check out the video review of part # A75TB at right. • Installing Horizontal E-Track to Interior of Trailer
The method you'd use attaching the E-Track to a trailer will would depend on the structure of the trailer wall and what exactly it's constructed of. If the interior walls of your trailer have uprights of sufficient thickness to handle the length of self tapping screws you're using, self-tappers would be a great method of attaching the E-Track if you're attaching to metal. Lag bolts would be better if you're attaching to wood.

  • E-Track And Tie-Down Strap for Securing Ladder on Inside Wall of Enclosed Utility Trailer
Given that trailer suspensions aren't as forgiving as those found on passenger vehicles, I wouldn't recommend the Yakima # Y88890152. This is designed to be one of six straps holding a trunk mounted bike rack to a vehicle, and likely wouldn't be up to the task, especially given all the bouncing around that happens on a trailer. Sorry Jim but your wife already got to us and I'm afraid you'll have to go on the all-beet diet! I kid, I kid.
