Question:

I have a 6x12foot utility trailer, mounting the track along the entire length of 2x6s from front to the back.both sides, under the tires. Carrying Polaris 900 RZR that weighs 1190lbs. Going to use tire bonnets on all 4 wheels,w/ the e-track mounting points8 Thats a total of 24foot of e-track, planning on using 3/16x1 3/4inch hex head wood screws, w/12 per foot thats 288, How many should I use?

Expert Reply:

Usually every third mounting hole in the E-Track should have a screw securing it to the wood trailer deck; please see photo. For your 1190 pound load this should be sufficient. The one and three-quarter inch hex head wood screws you plan to use are a good choice.

It would be beneficial to mount some of the screws through the trailer's metal frame, if possible.
