Can E-Track Install in Trailer Application Where One Side Only Attaches to Metal

Question:

Im installing a vertical e-track in a 7x14 enclosed trailer. At 3.5inch wide, Ill only be able to get one side of the the e-tracks screws into the metal trailer wall stud. The other side will just go into the 1/2inch plywood. Im building a bed off 4 of the vertical e-tracks so all pressure will be straight down. Will screws hitting metal studs on just one side be adequate? How many holes should I hit, or how far between screws in this application? Thanks

Your setup would be totally fine. Especially considering this is a bed application where the force will be straight down. Every third hole on the metal side and every other on the wood would be more than adequate and would be super solid.
