Perfect for light-duty towing, this custom, vehicle trailer hitch receiver features fully welded, gloss powder coated steel construction. Drawbar sold separately.Yes, I received the Class I hitch that I ordered for my 2013 Hyundai Veloster. It truly fits like a glove. The installation was simple. The look and work of the hitch is superb. I am very pleased with the look of the product, it feels very sturdy and secure. I will say, I have not attached the bike rack yet, so I will follow-up with you when I put the hitch to work. Back to the product tho, the instructions were so right on. I am very impressed with not only the product but the ease of installation. The hardest part was making that one hole a bit larger like instructed but again very easy to do with the right tools. I want to thank you for an excellent product and also would like to mention your company and the service I have received. You guys are what having a business is about. Very professional and attentive. Amazing customer service! Thank you again!
Absolutely perfect! This arrived within the expected timeframe and went on without any issue. We were able to pull a small motorcycle trailer around on a cross country trip that accumulated almost 6k miles and not once did we feel we’d lose the hitch or the trailer. There was a minor hiccup out in the middle of nowhere AZ where we hit a cattle guard a bit too high rate of speed and the only damage was losing the electrical connector plug. Easy fix and we were back on the road and we were very happy that the hitch did not budge or bend. Extremely happy with the purchase!!
I haven't used the bike rack yet, I did finally installed the Curt Trailer Hitch, I like it, it looks nice especially the color, it matches the color of my vehicle, not only liking your products, your Employees are the best in all of the whole package deal. I live in Alaska and I had so many problems getting a straight answer on a single question from my local trailer dealer, from the parts employee to his supervisor, every time I called about my order for my hitch, I would get a different excuse, always some kind of runaround, I was not happy TO say the least, this went on for a few days, until finally I called the General manager, guess what, I was put through to a voice mail, And he never returned my phone call, I almost forgot to mention this was after ordering my hitch and patiently waiting almost or even a whole month, needless to say, from now on Etrailer is the only place I would like to do business with.
I love my trailer hitch for my Veloster 2017. The direction is so easy to follow, and I installed it myself! It's been a year, and it's holding very well! Thank you!
Product is great, really well built and is really sturdy feeling. Came in a good sized box so it didn’t have any damage or anything. I bought it in March and it got here in May. I’m sure the delay had to do with the way that everything is right now. I called customer support to see if there were any updates and they were very helpful. Bottom line is they have great products and are a great help!

This Hitch has been absolutely perfect. Ive been able to bring my bikes with me anywhere I want to go! I Work in a bike shop and customers often ask about hitch installation for bike racks. I usually refer them to etrailer because of how much I trust their products. After a year 1010 recommend.
installation was easy, shipping was fast, quality is wonderful. the reason it gets 4 starts is because the hitch sits REAL close to part of the exhaust tips and at Idle it rattles quite bad. I had to take the hitch back off and grind down the corners that rattled with the exhaust. (I only use this hitch for a spare tire mount so I wasn't worried about messing up the integrity of the hitch while under load)
This hitch works great. Shout out to etrailer for being the only website that had this model in stock
It took 20 min to put on fit like a glove.very good product. Going to use with bicke rack
Amazing product, had a. 16 hour drive and it held up nicely.

I still use this product now and again works great. I do recommend this product for anyone with a veloster who needs towing.
I installed the Curt trailer hitch this morning on my 2016 Veloster Turbo. Extremely straight forward install with one caveat. The 2016 has a plastic/fiber shroud on the driver side the impedes the location of the access hole for the carriage bolt. I found it necessary to cut away the section that lies between the frame and the hitch. Without the removal of the plastic, the attachment of the lower most carriage bolt was not possible. Not a big deal and very simple to work around. Perhaps a better solution would be to remove this all together. In my opinion, this is a high quality product and a great value. Video of the install was very helpful. I used 8 1/2 inch Rhino ramps and an extra set of hands just to get the bolts started.

I was wondering what style of Turbo you have? i have the 2016 Veloster Turbo and i removed the Shroud all together and it still would not go and and I could not tell what was impeding i thought it was just the exhaust and maybe it was a design change... any help would be great..

Thomas B., Thomas, I cut away the plastic shroud on the drivers side of the vehicle. This allowed the hitch to be bolted in place. I had to bench press the hitch in place and my wife ed to bolt that runs horizontal. It required a bit of force but once the bolt was in place, it snugs up nicely. I also used a couple of zip ties to approximate the exhaust pipe support and the body. It raised the exhaust pipe up just a bit to clear the metal ringflange ? so that it would not bang on the hitch.Hope this helps,
Very easy installation, just follow the directions. Fast delivery as usual with etrailer. Hitch looks great and comes with everything for installation (except tools). Takes 30 minutes to an hour to install depending on how good you are with tools.

The hitch is great! I use it a lot in the summer. Thanks for the follow up....
Fit perfectly and more the video you have to put it on help so much put it on my car in no time thanks
Wont buy again. Didnt line up like it was suppose to. The tow package sat litterally 3 mm from the exhaust and was hitting the exhaust. It would rattle like a bat outta hell. Had to change the exhaust hangers to raise the exhaust. The package rubs the bumper like crazy. And i have the package bolted up correctly. Its kinda hard to mess it up because it can only bolt in the holes that are there. Just a disappointment. The videos made it look so great. It really isnt. Other than that. Good product.

The exhaust system at the rear of the car is attached to the vehicle using rubber isolators and easily bendable exhaust hangers. Because of this, the actual position of the exhaust system can vary a bit from vehicle to vehicle. When the hitch is installed, its position will not vary from vehicle to vehicle. The large tolerances in the exhaust system is what can allow the rattle to occur. In other words, its not the fault of the hitch or its design. Youll just need to create a bit more space between the hitch and the exhaust. This is a common occurrence that is easily remedied by slightly bending the exhaust hanger. Ive linked you to a help article that addresses how to easily fix the rattle.

Very tight fit on my Hyundai Veloster. No room for error. Plan on wrestling with the hitch if you don't have access to a lift. Both of the factory chrome trim pieces for the exhaust come in contact with the hitch and make a rattling sound when taking off and stopping. You have to slightly bend the edge of the exhaust trim rings to stop the rattling. Otherwise a great hitch. Sure beats using a hatch mounted carrier. Highly recommended.
Great product and easy to install. Looks good also.
Really faster shipping
This is a front hitch for my 2005 Nissan Frontier pickup. The packaging and required bolts were intact, and the accompanying instruction were easy to understand. As noted previously by someone elses post, the mounting holes didn't quite line up to the holes in the frame, but a handful of whacks with a 6 pound sledge fixed it easily. This is a 2 person task or one person with very strong arms.
I would recommend this item
My hitch came well packed, and it looks like a well made product. The paint finish is good, and there are no weld boogers or anything nastying the surface up.
The hitch is RIDICULOUSLY SIMPLE to install, with EXCELLENT clear, easy to follow instructions.
The hardest part of the install was getting the hitch onto the bolts, and it was only hard because I was doing it solo. I used a spare jack stand to hold one end up while I attached the other. If you have a helper for the lift onto the bolts, then this is the easiest job you'll do all day.
Once installed, I'm not 100% thrilled with the pin/clip that holds the ball mount in place. The pin goes in fine, but then there's no good angle to get the clip in. I have to come up through the safety chain holes with the clip, that that doesn't seem optimal. I'll likely end up getting a receiver lock instead, so it's not a huge deal.
I absolutely love this trailer hitch! I bought it to use with a Yakima HoldUp bike rack and it works perfectly. Though I do have a con about this hitch. I have a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo and this was quite difficult to install. Took about 2 hours. Definitely wasn't as easy as the video. You'll have to pull the under-plastic shroud out a little to prevent it from pushing against the hitch so you can line up the 3 main bolts. I also had to jack up the center of the hitch while the 3 main bolts were installed in order to for the 4th large bolt to fit through the tow loop. It just wouldn't line up. The center plastic of the exhaust in the bottom was in the way. You can cut a little slot to allow for clearance but I just used a jack to push the hitch up so the bolt will go through the tow loop. Take note that the hitch will touch against the bottom plastic but no need to worry as it fits perfect. That was the hardest part. This hitch fits 100% very snug with no wiggle room which is why it was difficult to install. After that everything was good. All in all the hitch works perfectly! I'm very satisfied. :) I'll put pictures up soon.
Very happy with the product, service and speedy delivery. The hitch installed very easily. 2013 Veloster turbo, mounted on in about 30 minutes with no problem. A hammer was the only additional tool needed. That was to bang the exhaust plate back just slightly. Using this hitch to pull a Sea Doo ski. Very nice tight fit, no modification needed when installing correctly.
Hitch receiver fit perfectly and video how to install receiver was also perfect.
Solid product and the videos were extremely helpful.
I have a 2016 Velostar which requires some modification of the rear driver's side plastic splashguard but it's easy to remove: 2 screws to the undercarriage and 2 plastic push pins on to the bumper and wheel well respectively (These can be easily pulled with a standard screwdriver.
Installation required either a lift or set of ramps. I have a set of steel ramps and that's all the height needed.
a second person helps with holding up the steel bar but the prep only takes about 10 minutes.
Mount the top drivers side bolt finger tight first then do the two passenger side bolts. I recommend tightening these enough to make mounting the last larger bolt to the tow. This required a little finesse to mount then tighten all bolts as described.
Over all very pleased with this mount.
I recently purchased a hyundia veloster and needed to carry two bicycles. This trailer hitch made that possible. The hitch fit as expected. One hole had to be drilled and the heat shield bent. There were some hidden nuts ghat had to be installed with fish wire. I had a dealer install mine sine it is too heavy to hold and mark the drill hole by myself. Looks good below the exaust.
Hitch was very easy to install even by myself. I will say on the turbo model it does fit but has 1 trim bracket on passenger side of rear fascia that gets in the way. It's your choice to trim it off or get below the hitch frame when mounting. Pics on etrailer.com show a turbo model but I don't see the trim bracket in photos. I have a 2013 year model. I would recommend this to others for hauling bikes and light duty items.
