I ordered this hitch in May. It took a couple of weeks to ship. I contacted etrailer and like most companies in this day and age, help is tough to come by. Once the item shipped, I received it very quickly. Installation wasn't difficult. My truck is 10 years old, so I really thought the old bolts would give me a hard time. They weren't too bad to remove. The new hitch went on quite easily. My truck is a 2012 Silverado 1500

I opted to purchase a Curt trailer hitch for my truck. Sheila took my order over the phone and made sure I had the right product for my 2012 Chevy Silverado. Great service. I received the hitch in perfect condition. Watched the installation video and it went on just as easy as I expected it would. Great product and a great price with free shipping. I highly recommend etrailer.com for anyone who needs a great reliable product supplier. Thanks again!

Seems like a good hitch . If my bumper wasnt a bit out of wack it would have mounted right up after some banging on the bumper it went right on even around my dual exhaust, So Happy. Shipping was fast and as described and a great price. Can't wait to tow my new travel trailer.

Received the hitch wednesday and installed it thursday. The install went great, I took my time and installed it in about a little over an hour. Everything aligned properly, and fit like a glove on my 2011 Chevy silverado. Glad I got the curt hitch, it looks beefy and heavy duty, like a factory install. Glad I installed it myself, the dealers around here want about $500 to install the whole deal. Watched your install vids, they were very helpful. Googled trailer hitches on the internet and you guys came up, so I thought I'd give you a try. Completely satisfied doing business with etrailer.com. Shipping was fast, price was right. Here's a few pictures. Thanks Guys, John

2007 GMC Sierra New Body

Just installed the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver to my 2007 GMC Sierra New Body Style and it went smooth. This replaced an old rusted out OEM hitch receiver and the Curt fit like a glove. I was able to install it on my own with the help of a floor jack raising it up in the middle and finger tightened the two bolts under the bumper then bolted up the rail bolts. I then removed the floor jack and torqued down all the bolts slid in the Curt ball mount and secured it with the included pin and cotter pin and I was back to towing my Waverunners to the harbor for some fun.

The customer service Rep: Lexus G. was extremely helpful in directing me to exactly what I needed! Upon receiving the package, I was impressed with the way that the items where protected for shipping. The overall quality of the Hitch and Trailer Connector Socket where impeccable. The entire removal and installation of both units took no more than 35 Minutes. Thanks to to instructional Video!
I am Very impressed with the Company, Service and most of all the Hitch and Light Connector. Thank You so very much eTrailer for everything.

2007 Chevrolet Silverado

My 2007 Classic Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 did not have a factory hitch receiver, so I selected the 13322 Curt Hitch Receiver because it closely resembles the OEM hitch receiver and attaches to the bottom of the bumper. Installation was easy, as shown in the videos and described by other reviewers. All holes aligned perfectly. I did not remove the spare tire as it is not necessary. I used two jack stands to raise/support the receiver frame in place while I started the first bolts. I had the 22mm and 19mm sockets needed to tighten and torque the bolts/nuts. It looks great and I now am able to tow.

For the wiring I installed the 30955 Hopkins 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors to the bumper adjacent to the license plate. This required drilling a 2-1/8" hole in the bumper, which was time consuming, but it now resembles a factory installation. I was able to remove the license plate and connect to the factory plug.

I ordered these parts from etrailer for a number of reasons: 1) The website is intuitive and contains a tremendous amount of information for the person who is trying to research product information; 2) the selection and inventory is amazing; 3) the prices are very competitive – free shipping for orders over $99; and 4) the dedicated customer service is outstanding – the email communication is prompt. I ordered on a weekend and it was delivered by the following Friday.
A very positive first experience.

2008 Chevrolet Silverado

I recently was getting ready another season of towing my boat and landscaping equipment. I inspected my trailers and all the lights. While installing the receiver into the hitch I noticed a small hole in the hitch frame. After further investigation I noticed the hitch was in bad shape. I looked around at different hitch suppliers and found etrailer. Great price great service. All hardware included installed myself.
Thank you

2003 Chevrolet Silverado

Ok so I received it in 3 days which is great for free shipping and the next day the wife and I got off work at 2 where she went to get grand kids from day care and I went home to put on hitch. Got home and took out tools, got myself a talk glass of ice water because it's 107 here in AZ and dropped tire, took ball off bumper, and bolts off frame and installed new hitch. I put tire back under truck and was rolling with trailer on just before 3 and even before wife got home. Very easy and fit great. Can not beat the cost for this being so easy.

Excellent replacement for a factory hitch or for a truck that didnt come with one originally equipped. All hardware included and of nice quality. Instructions easy to follow and clearly printed. No drilling required. Bolts into existing threaded holes in bumper support and bumper brackets where attached to frame of truck. Third set of holes use a carriage bolt, large washer and nut through and existing hole in frame near the leaf spring mount. Threads in bumper support may need rust cleaned out with a tap (14mm x 2.0 thread pitch) if a factory hitch was not installed and truck has lived in the rust belt states. Some minor trimming was required of the bumper plactic covers on my particular application. A sawzall or a hacksaw with a fine tooth blade works great and leaves a clean cut. Otherwise installation time was about 20 to 30 mins using air tools and a lift. Product price and shipping was great, recieved hitch packaged nicely and undamaged within a few days of placing order.

Super fast shipping especially with it being free shipping! Hitch Arrived on the day it was scheduled and I had it installed in about forty-five minutes along with the trailer wiring kit. I plan on using it this weekend to tow my camper to the beach. Everthing looks great. Thank you guys for your promt service!

AWESOME SERVICE & FAST SHIPPING

by:

I called in my order as I still like to talk to a sales person rather than online, it was quick and professional. My hitch shipped for free and arrived within 4 days. I went to mount it and it didn't line up and I was mad, then I remembered backing into a post years ago pushing in the bumper a half an inch. I grabbed my sledge hammer and resolved the issue. My hitch then was simple to mount and friends perfectly! Thank you!

Recently bought the curt pn 13322 for 02 ecsb silverado. Packaged well, exxtremely good quality, was a pain to install due to bent bumper and one bolt broken off from previous owner but not etrailer.com fault. Pulled a 20 ft car hauler today and checked it afterwards, no issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend. Check your bumper alignment prior to install.

2004 Chevrolet Silverado

I ordered this hitch late in the day on Jan 10th. I received it on Jan 12th just after noon. I was told it would likely take 4 business days. It took less than 48 hours and was shipped for free. I am not a mechanic but the installation took only about 20 minutes. Total cost for the hitch and electrical connector was much less than the quote I received from a local company to install the same hitch. Awesome hitch, awesome deal, awesome company. I am now a huge etrailer.com fan now!

by:
2001 Chevrolet Silverado

The trailer hitch for my 2001 Chevy Silverado was exactly as indicated on etrailer.com web site. Very fast delivery service, I was quite pleased. Installed myself in about a hour. Hardest part of the installation was getting the existing two frame bolts loosened and out, after that tne installation went very well. I would definitely recommend etrailer.

2009 Chevrolet Silverado

Put it on a 2009 Silverado 1500 LT. I had been concerned when looking other places for something compatible with my custom dual exhaust.

The webpage took me RIGHT to where i needed to be. Now it's ALL as it should be, tucked in right above my exhaust! One stop shopping took care of me! Thanks etrailer!

etrailer made it easy to order and shipped in a timely manner. The hitch was easy to install and fit as intended.

  • Comparing Curt Trailer Hitches 13322 and 13332 For 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500
That's a really good question, and there are a couple of differences between the two Curt hitches that fit your 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500, the round tube Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13322 and the square tube Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13332. The first difference is that the square tube hitch is going to be more concealed, as the tube is straight and going to be hidden behind the bumper more, while the round tube will stick out and the tube will be far more noticeable under your truck....

The average enclosed cargo trailer can weigh between 2,000-4,000lbs empty so you should have the capacity depending on the amount of weight you intend to add. A weight distribution system is often a great addition to a towing setup to reduce sway experienced towing, especially when approaching the top end of your available towing capacity. We carry both of the Curt Hitches for your 2001 GMC Sierra the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13332 which is square tube and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13322 which is the round tube. Curt trailer hitch # 13322 is rated for 600 pounds tongue weight without weight distribution and 1,000 pounds tongue weight with weight distribution. Gross trailer weight is 6,000 pounds weight carrying but 10,000 pounds with weight distribution. If the trailer weighs 5,300 pounds, and tongue weight is typically 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight, that should make the tongue weight between 530 and 795 pounds.
