Difference Between Curt Hitches 13322 and 13301 for 2011 Chevy Silverado

Question:

I have a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado WT regular cab long bed with the 4.3 V-6 engine and a 3.23 rear axle ratio. The manual says that combination has a max trailer weight of 4700 lbs., so a class III hitch is plenty. Im interested in either the Curt 13301 or 13322. Can anyone tell me something that would be a deciding factor between these two hitches? Thanks

The difference between the Curt hitch part # 13322 and the # 13301 that you referenced is an aesthetic one mainly.

The design of the # 13301 is that the hitch tube is welded to the bottom of the cross tube which means that from the rear of the vehicle you'd only see the hitch opening. This is what I'd go with if it was me. The # 13322 instead has the hitch opening welded to the front of the hitch tube which means the cross tube is going to be visible from the rear. This hitch's crosstube is round though and the # 13301 is square.
