Would Curt Hitch 13322 Work Well Installed on 2001 Chevy Silverado Towing Small Trailers
Question:
I have 2001 chevy silverado 1500 reg. cab , long bed, 2wd, auto trans, 4.8 liter, and Im looking at curt #13322 class 3 hitch reciever. Wondering if it makes sense to go up to a class 4 so as to get a more rugged hitch? I will be towing rarely and not heavy. 16foot boat , uhaul, small trailer. Thanks

It certainly wouldn't hurt if you went with a higher capacity hitch than needed, but if you are staying under the capacity of the lower rated hitch # 13322 you would be perfectly fine with it as well. This hitch has a 6,000 lb trailer weight capacity which should be plenty for your small trailers.
I attached a link to an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.
