  • Special Drill Bit for Drilling Into the Bumper of a 1992 Chevy C/K Series Truck
For hard to drill metal surfaces I recommend a rotabroach bit. We have several of these, see link, but they will probably be too large for for a 7-way mounting bracket. You can also try to use self-tapping screws like # 1172904 instead of drilling. For adding new wiring and brakes, I have included a link to a video that should help. For a 1992 Chevy C/K series truck, I recommend the Tekonsha P2, # 90885. It is one of our most popular controllers because it is easy to set up and easy to use.

  • Replacing Side Marker Brackets And Bulbs On 2010 Pace Journey Trailer
The Chrome Bracket and Single Wire Plug # A67CB has just enough room to route the wire that it comes with. Based on the photo you attached, it looks like the hole that is already drilled is in the exact spot for the wire on the new bracket to fit into (see attached photo). You may need to cut some of the wire off or push the wire back through the hole after making your connection so that the bracket does not have to fit over a lot of crinkled wires, which obviously wouldn't allow for proper...

  • Type of Hardware for Installing Optronics License Plate Holder LP35BB
The correct hardware to mount the Optronics License Plate Holder # LP35BB mostly depends on the type and thickness of the surface you want to mount it on. This plate holder has 4 pre-drilled holes for mounting and these are hidden by the plate once it is installed. For most installations a 1/2-inch long # 6 stainless steel screw like # 1172904 is fine. Stainless steel is preferred to avoid the risk of corrosion.

  • What Fastener to Use for Installing Optronics Thin Line Series Light Mounting Bracket # A65PB
It is not necessary to use rivets for installation of the Optronics Thin Line Series Light Mounting Bracket # A65PB, or the chrome version # A67CB. You can use stainless steel sheet metal screws like # 1172904 or pretty much any hardware that suits your installation location. Both brackets use mounting holes on 3-inch centers and the holes are 1/4-inch in diameter.

  • Will a Trailer Wiring Harness Work if the Ground is Weak or Disconnected on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
Yes, a weak or absent ground connection will prevent the trailer wiring harness # 118303 from working properly if at all. On some vehicles there may be a screw nearby that you can remove, put through the ground wire ring terminal, and then reinstall. As long as the ring terminal is making a connection to a bare metal surface (no paint or coating) then it will work as a ground location. Otherwise it is recommended to use a self-tapping screw such as # 1172904 directly in the metal of the...

  • Availability of Pre-Drilled Continuous Hinge That Measures 3-Inches Wide x 68-Inches Long
The Redline replacement hinge you referenced, part # H300, measures 3- x 72-inches but is not pre-drilled. This is because this part is designed for multiple installation methods - by welding or by use of fasteners you supply. We also offer a stainless steel version, part # SH300. These hinges do not carry a specific weight capacity since that will depend on the strength of the surface they mount on. For a 150-lb door I recommend the stainless steel hinge # SH300. This hinge can be cut...

  • Wood Screws to Use with White Oak Boards
Torx screw # TFX250ACQ is an excellent option for treated wood. If the white oak you have is ACQ treated lumber then this would be the ideal screw. Otherwise I would go with stainless steel hardware which does cost more but in terms of corrosion resistance there's nothing better than stainless! We have a stainless screw, # 1172904, that will work with wood but it is only a 1/2 inch long. If you go with the Torx screws and need a bit use # TX430-1. In either case when you use screws in...

  • Hardware Needed to Install Optronics Thin Line Fender Trailer Light
There isn't a specific hardware kit for the Optronics Thin Line Fender Trailer Lights # BA65ARRB for the right and # BA65ARLB for the left. I contacted Optronics and they told me a number 6 sized screw like part # 1172904 or a number 8 sized like part # 101131802 will fit.
