Will a Trailer Wiring Harness Work if the Ground is Weak or Disconnected on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
Question:
Will a poorly or disconnected ground keep the lights from working? How do you connect the white ground on the convertor box to vehicle?

Yes, a weak or absent ground connection will prevent the trailer wiring harness # 118303 from working properly if at all. On some vehicles there may be a screw nearby that you can remove, put through the ground wire ring terminal, and then reinstall. As long as the ring terminal is making a connection to a bare metal surface (no paint or coating) then it will work as a ground location.
Otherwise it is recommended to use a self-tapping screw such as # 1172904 directly in the metal of the vehicle. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation of this harness on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica.
