Availability of Replacement Parts for Ventline Rounded Dome Trailer Roof Vent

Question:

I have the ventline rounded dome. I was looking for the replacement screen, beauty ring, and the gasket, then thought I could just buy the whole thing and pull off what I need. I purchased one in Campworld, only to find the screen does not line up with the old hole on the crank. I see plenty of replacement lenses, what happens when I need the entire assembly. Cost more to piece meal, looks like thats what I need to do. Also you screens do not have the dimmension from the edge to the handle. I just want to make sure Im getting what I need the first time around.

The Ventline product you reviewed, part # V2092SP-28, is a complete vent assembly intended for a rough roof opening of 14-1/4 x 14-1/4 inches. It consists of a wedge-shaped white plastic dome attached to a galvanized steel frame with hand-crank assembly, a removable screen, and a white plastic 2-1/8-inch-deep garnish (interior trim ring).

Please note that this part requires an installation kit, part # 344270KITW, which consists of mounting hardware and a urethane caulk sealer. If your trailer roof thickness requires a deeper garnish we also offer a 5-1/8-inch version, part # VA0445-37, and a 3-1/8-inch version, part # VA0445-35, which are available separately. We also offer replacement dome seal weather strip, part # BVD0455-01.

I pulled a piece of this vent kit from inventory in order to provide you with the screen measurements. Please refer to the photo included which shows the removable screen and its dimensions. Please note this screen is available as a stand-alone replacement part, item # BVD0434-41.

We also offer a 12V fan-equipped version with manual dome lift, part # V2094SP-30. This also requires the installation kit and can also be used with the other sizes of garnish. Wiring is not included but we offer 16-gauge primary wire, part # DW02359-1, and butt connectors, part # 05731-5. Note that this unit also has a wedge-shaped dome.

If neither of these items is suitable for your trailer, please provide photos of your existing vent and details on your trailer vent opening (and part numbers from the original parts if possible) and I will be glad to research further and contact Ventline to see if they have alternatives to offer.
