This remote, keyless entry kit from Pop & Lock lets you pop open your tonneau just like you pop open your trunk. Unlatch and open your tonneau cover quickly and easily using the included key fobs.
Protect your tools, equipment, and other valuables. The secure latching mechanism on the Power Pop kit works in conjunction with your tailgate's lock to create a secure truck bed. Once the kit is installed, the tonneau can be opened with one of the key fobs or with the optional power button that installs on your vehicle's door. This kit will not prevent you from unlatching your tonneau cover manually.
The kit includes 2 key fobs that control the latches that open your tonneau cover. An optional LED light (PAL9135 - sold separately) can be plugged into the kit's receiver and easily controlled with the key fobs as well.
A wiring harness with a button is included and can be used to mount a control for the tonneau lock on your cab door. This allows you to pop open your tonneau from the comfort of your cab.
To install the Power Pop kit, first replace the existing internal latches on your tonneau cover with the included powered rotary latches. Use the receiver harness to connect the new latches to the powered receiver. Then plug the receiver harness into the tonneau harness. Route the tonneau harness along your tonneau cover, down towards the cab, and connect it to the truck harness. Then run the truck harness up to your engine compartment and connect the red wire to your vehicle's battery. Ground the black wire of the harness to an unpainted metal surface. Because the included harnesses all plug into one another, no cutting or splicing is necessary.
To get power for this remote kit, you must connect the included wiring to a 12-volt power source in your vehicle. Typically, this will be your truck's battery. But many trucks have an auxiliary power terminal near the battery specifically for accessories as well.
