Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the replacement clamp for Retrax Pro Hard Tonneau Covers. This kit is going to come with everything you see here to get that clamp replaced on your tonneau cover. We're gonna have two different size clamps, so depending on which tonneau cover you have or what truck you're using it on, you will need that different size. In a minute, I'll show you the measurements so you can figure out which one you're going to need. So in addition to having our two clamps of each size, we're also gonna have the tools that come with that kit, we're going to have the small eighth inch Allen wrench, and the six millimeter Allen wrench to get everything installed. We'll have the two front cover mounting screws, and the four rail to canister mounting screws.
So no matter what hardware has become damaged or lost, you should be able to get those reinstalled. This is that little screw with a Phillips head at the top. These are going to have the eighth inch Allen wrench opening, which will work with that small eighth inch wrench there.Now as far as the difference between our clamps, both of them are going to have the same sized backing plate there on the clamp, so this is going to be the same. The difference is going to be in the larger piece and in the bolt. So the longer clamp is going to be about 2 1/2 inches from tip to the back of that C.
That makes it easier to see it there. And then the bolt itself, while the threads aren't going to be any different, the shoulder on that bolt is going to be a bit longer on this one, so it's going to be about an inch and a half from the edge of the shoulder to the bottom of the head of the bolts, about an inch and a half there. And the other one, it's going to be just an inch. As far as the smaller clamp goes, that is going to be about an inch and three quarters. So again, a little bit smaller, if it'll stay up there.So that should give you an idea of how big those are so you can make sure you get the right one matched up for your truck.
Those bolts do thread into that identical smaller C shape. You just want to make sure that you have the washer in place before you get those tightened down. Of course, they fit together just like this. Thread the bolt through the one side, and into that smaller C shape where it will thread into the pre-installed threads on that. And then once you get it all tightened down, those teeth will grip the side of the rail and your truck's side railing, and apply force to keep everything nice and tight.
Same process for the smaller clamp and the other two, of course. So that's gonna do it for our look at the Retrax replacement clamps for your Retrax Pro Hard Tonneau Cover.

Just what I needed after buying an open box cover that was missing 3/4 clamps. These are beefier and wider than the original ones and the bolts are all thread allowing to you actually tighten them down all the way.

Ive installed these brackets, and they havent shifted once! They are rock solid. I beat the s*** out of the truck in the Baja got stuck on a OHV track for 60 odd miles. Any other setup would have been destroyed. These brackets held everything in place perfectly – and I wasnt milking it. I wanted to get through it as fast as possible.
