Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the replacement of white nylon lock stop for your Retrax tonneau cover. So this is just going to be that little piece that butts up next to the lock at the end of your tonneau cover right next to the tailgate so that's going to help to keep it secure and tighten everything up and make sure that it's safe. So maybe this got bumped when you're loading something in there, it got snapped off or something happened, this is going to be that direct replacement from Retrax to get you out and rolling again with your tonneau cover.So we'll get our two large spacers, a smaller spacer collar, two nuts and then two bolts. One of the bolts is a little longer than the other, but they are the same size in thread pitch and diameter. So either one of the nuts should work just fine to get that attached.
It's got the flat head to it with some little serrations, so it should hold in place to help keep it from spinning.So you can see these kind of thread into these spacers. So the little serrations at the top of the bolt should hold that in place there. We can put our nut on the other side or add on the spacer if we need to and should keep everything where it needs to be. That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at this replacement hardware. So I hope that this has helped to show you what comes in the kit and make sure that this is going to be the right fit for you.
Again, both of those spacers are threaded, so it should hold everything nice and tight there.I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you. I purchased a truck and found that the cover would not seal against the tailgate. I purchased the kit because I was missing the nut and plastic spacer on the lock side. Installation was quick and easy and now the cover works as designed.

Good product, replacement for the original. When ordered it was a direct ship from the manufacturer. Item was lost in the mail, but Terri was very helpful in working with the manufacturer and getting the ball rolling to get another one shipped. It took about a month to receive the product, but was not the fault of etrailer or the manufacturer.

Good customer service. The original package they sent me only had one of the 2 screws pictured. Probably not their fault because it comes from the manufacturer. But I told them and they promptly sent me another package with all the parts in it. Thank you.

- How Do I Eliminate Slipping and Close the Gap on My Retrax XR Tonneau Cover?I'm so sorry to hear about your cover! Thanks so much for attaching photos of the issue. I reached out to my tech at Retrax, and he said that judging by the lack of a lock on the passenger's side, you have a Retrax XR cover. The Retrax XR will have a slight gap on the passenger's side, although this gap can be decreased. What you need to do is to adjust the white screws on either side of the clamps (on both driver and passenger side) to bring the rails in closer together. This will help...
