How To Use 17.5" Wheels On a 7,000 Lb Trailer Axle
Question:
I want to put 17.5 tires and rims on my trailer. I have dexter 7000# axles, 8 on 6 1/2, but with 1/2 studs. Do you have a rim for 1/2 studs or what do I need to do. thanks,

In order to use 17.5" diameter trailer wheels you'll need to upgrade to 9/16" lug studs. There are no other options as all wheels this size use this size or larger since they are designed for more weight. In order to do this you'll need the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-865-7-1-K for standard or part # AKHD-865-7-1-EZ-K for EZ-Lube. Then, you can use a 17.5" diameter trailer wheel like the Aluminum Lynx Trailer Wheel part # 274-000006.
