Specs:
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at Optronics Thinline Sealed LED Marker and Clearance Light. This light is designed for 24-volt systems. The small, rectangular trailer light functions as both a clearance light and a side-marker light when properly mounted. It features a sonically-sealed, waterproof design when it comes to the housing and lens unit. It is submersible.LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter, and they're much more efficient. You don't have to worry about changing bulbs, and you don't have to worry about burnt out filaments with LED systems. This unit features a polycarbonate lens and housing that's very strong and durable.
It has a nice yellow lens on it.This light mounts using a mounting bracket. The mounting brackets are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. This would be an example of a mounting bracket here.On the back of the light, we have two prongs. The prongs would line up right there in the bracket. Then the bracket would grab through the mounting hardware.
Then it provides a single wire for a power wire. Now each bracket might be a little differently on how it grounds and how it wires. Basically, all you got to do is plug this into the bracket, and then the bracket will provide the wiring that you need for your application. That's really all there is to it. The brackets are available at etrailer.com. They are sold separately. This is a P2-rated light. It's SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. When it comes to the overall dimensions, starting with the overall length measuring edge-to-edge, it gives us a measurement of 3-15/16" long.
The overall width is 1-1/4". The overall depth from front to back is about 7/8" deep. This unit contains a total of three diodes or three LEDs. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power. Then you'll be able to see what it looks like. I'll also turn the overhead lights off. What I'm going to do is just plug this into the bracket.
Again, brackets are sold separately, available at etrailer.com, and then I'll go ahead and hook this up to power. So you can see here the light sends out a nice, consistent signal. Again, it contains three LEDs or three diodes. The multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output. Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on their LEDs.That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics Thinline Sealed LED Amber Marker and Clearance Light.

These were a great replacement for my old fluorescents on the sides of my boat trailer while I was pulling new wires and replacing rear lights as well. They are plenty bright and easy install.
Perfect!! Holes lined up exactly as specified which was VERY important for my application. I didn't have to drill any holes and they work exactly as expected.
Nice retrofit for old thin-line bases, they work - they aren't super bright, but trailer already had screw holes and bases, so it was easy replacement especially where they are molded around in fiberglass bulkhead on an older cargo trailer. for what it is, I think they're a little pricey, doing a whole trailer with them would've gotten expensive
Wow, what a difference LED clearance lights make, especially at night. It makes my business information really stand out and people who follow me really notice that. I've been wanting to go LED the past couple years and now that I recently made the change, I'm not ever going back to standard low-level light bulbs again. Thanks etrailer for offering these lights and at a very affordable price. You were almost half the price as our local part store was selling them for, plus these are more stylish as well.
I bought my Haulmark 12'x6' Enclosed trailer used a few months back. The trailer was in good shape but the sun faded out the marker lamps. Since I use the trailer as a landscape equipment trailer I'm usually not working at night but now with the daylight savings hour change I find myself getting home when it's dark and now those faded lamps were bugging me. Since I've had great experience in the past with etrailer.com I decided to take the plunge and change out the 14 marker lights to their LED versions...Wow what a difference. Not only are my lamps no longer sun faded but they are bright! Definitely was worth the money and the installation was quick since they simply snap into place.
Thanks,
RAM

In the process of detailing my 2003 motorcycle trailer to get it looking good again. Clearance lights needed replacement. The original red lights were now faded pink for goodness sake! Replaced all 20 lights with the thin-line red and amber side marker lights. Replacement couldn't be more simple; remove original lights, snap in new. Exact fit and everything worked perfectly. Now, once the new tires and wheels get here we'll be in good shape! The new lights definitely make you say, "no way that trailer's 15 years old" :-)
Knowing that a Black trailer would be hard to see at night the following lights were added to my custom built trailer for night time safety.
1- Side mount red and yellow fender light which only works when either the brakes or turn signal are in use.
2- Front Clearance lights, which give additional lighting at night when approaching on coming vehicles.
I decided it was time to repair the lighting on a 15 year old trailer due to several being broken, and the rest being very faded. I spent quite a bit of time on etrailer comparing options I finally settled on the 4 diode led's. I was excited to see the difference but was ultimately dissapointed with my decision to swap out the old incandescent with more costly led's as the new led lights put out significantly less light. As u can see in the pictures I did the passenger side first, then I took pics halfway thru. If u look at the driver side with old lights it has alot more light even though it only has only 2 working lights, compared to the 4 on the new side! In the front shot u can see the old on the right is casting 10 times the amount of light on the ground. On the plus side at least the orange is now orange, and the red is red instead of almost clear.
I will say the shipping was very fast, and the the customer service was awsome as always.
it's been a year with these blubs, still going strong

These made swapping my horse trailer over to led lights a breeze! Arrived quickly and as usual great customer service from etrailer Staff!
Your products are excellent, What I like about it, they're brighter than the standard lights that were on my boat trailer. They were easy to install, they're installed and ready for the road.
That works!
Great product
Used to replace standard incandescent bulb housing for identification lights on my trailer. Easy to swap the new ones in, and they have great light output.
Much brighter and way more visible then original equipment. The only way to go!
Thanks eTrailer for the excellent service.
