Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Custer 17 inch long trailer LED clearance identification light bar with the red lens. Now, this is a trailer LED light bar. This will serve as a rear clearance identification light. And basically trailers that measure 80 inches or wider, they do require identification lights for additional visibility. So basically you can mount this clearance light bar on the top of your truck or trailer or between the taillights to draw extra visibility to your wide trailer for added on road safety.

This is a P2 rated light, produces a 90 degree beam pattern. It is DOT compliant, Department of Transportation compliant. Have you noticed it has the three rectangular LED red lights And what's nice with LEDs, they'll make great replacements for regular incandescent lights 'cause they last 50 times longer. They're more efficient. It'll provide brighter light with less power output.

And, of course, there's no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments that are gonna break. Now, this is compatible with 12 volt DC system. It is designed to mount onto the surface of the trailer. You can see there's a hole on each end here. Now, the hardwood installer is not included.

And if you notice, it has a two-wire pigtail which includes the power lead and the ground wire. And I do have this hooked up to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright it is. So I'm gonna go ahead and turn that on now. And with the 12 volt power, you can see the LEDs light up. Go ahead and turn off my overhead lights and you can see how bright they are.

You can see each light has looks like three LEDs in it. Even if I go zoom out, you can sort of see from a distance when you zoom out, gives you a bright light. I'm gonna turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power. Now, I do wanna give you a few measurements on this. Get it unhooked. There we go. So the overall length, if we measure from one end to the other end, put our tape measure on that, it's gonna be right at 17 inches long. The width on it, which is gonna be this way, gonna be right at 1-1/2 inches wide. And the total depth, including the light, is about 1-9/16 inches deep. Now, the distance between the mounting holes, we have one here and one here, center to center is 16 inches.
