2 Inch Wide Replacement Equalizer for Slipper Springs on Seven Thousand Pound Triple Axle Trailer

Question:

My trailer has three, seven thousand pound axles. I need to replace, or rebush, the equalizers. The equalizers are the fabricated type. Dimensions as below: A = 13-13/16 B = 5-3/4 C = 5-15/16 D = 9/16 E = 7/8 F = 3/8 Inside dimension between sides = 2-3/16 Outside dimension side to side = 2-3/4 I need four new equalizers - Do you have something that will work? If not, I will cut out the old bushings, fabricate and weld-in new bushings.

The TruRyde # TREQ1344 Equalizer for 2 inch wide Slipper Springs that you referenced is considered a fit for the dimensions that you listed on your triple axle trailer with seven thousand pound axles. I would recommend replacing the entire equalizer instead of welding in new bushings. You indeed would need 4 equalizers for your triple axle trailer.

The total length (a) and the length from the center of the front bolt hole to the center of the middle bolt hole (b) is slightly off when compared to your measurements but since you are using slipper springs this will work. The slight difference in the measurements will shift the resting position on the open end of the slipper spring.

Since you are replacing the entire equalizers, I recommend replacing the hardware to hold this equalizer in place as well. The Redline Spring Eye Bolt # 166079 would work for your application. I have provided a link to this product as well as a helpful article regarding slipper springs for your reference.
