Shackle link helps connect double-eye leaf spring to rear hanger or equalizer on trailer suspension systems. Shackling the 2 components together allows the necessary pivot of the springs. Measures 2-1/4" from center of hole to center of hole.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a two and one quarter inch long shackle strap. Now this shackle strap connects a double wide leaf spring to a rear hanger for single axle trailers or to an equalizer for multi axle trailers. It allows necessary pivot of the springs for an evenly distributed load between axles and a smooth ride for the trailer. We're looking at a galvanized steel construction. It's a nice heavy duty design and corrosion resistant. This is ideal for use on boat and snowmobile trailers.
One shackle strap is included with this part number. Taking a measurement real quick of the length. Again I measured from center on center of the mouth hole, that's where we get the two and one quarter inch long measurement from. Edge to edge it measures about three and a half inches long. Overall width is an inch and a quarter and the bolt holes have a diameter of nine 16ths of an inch.
That's gonna do it for today's look at the two and one quarter inch long shackle strap.

Other than the parts taking a month to process, once they were gathered and packaged, they were delivered within 2 days! I replaced both sides with new 3-leaf double eye springs, 4 shackle straps, 6 shackle bolts, 2 Dexter U-bolt plates, and 2 U-bolts. They were really easy to replace and I did it quickly. Looks great, gonna take her out soon.

The right part for the job. I love the way retailer has video describing the part with measurements. This works really great for them so that customers are not returning items because they ordered the wrong part but even better for me. Nothing worse then waiting for a part, finally getting it and finding you need to send it back and reorder another, then wait some more for the right part to arrive. This part was 1st sent using the USPS. It took 3 weeks for it to get delivered. Once I received the package, it was empty. It looked like someone had opened it and Stolen the parts. Justin and Carol sent me a new part Express mail through UPS at no additional cost to me. This was going above and beyond to satisfy your customer. I would recommend etrailer again and again. Shipping is a far cry from another company I will not mention, but at least you know you are getting the right part.

I have not been able to use parts as UPS lost one entire shipment, damaged another shipment and etrailer left some parts out of the replacement shipment. I want to replace all the items on my trailer together in one day.
Anyways, your company has been good about fixing the issues.
I hope UPS pays for the damage and lost shipments.

these galvanized shackles have a bur around each hole that required removal with a drill before the bolt would slide through. Not bad if you have t he tools however they are not going to work right outta the box.
The spring were excellent and a welcomed upgrade

A simple purchase that fits exactly and matches the description on the etrailer website. Even though I am in the business and have my own wholesale accounts, etrailer is often as cheap or cheaper and the information on the website is excellent. - Trailer Suspension Kit Recommendation for Tandem Trailer Similar to APT5 but With 4.25 inch HangersSince we don't have the exact kit you need you'd have to piece the kit together that you need. For hangers you'd want the pat # E4139 which is 4-1/4 inches tall like you mentioned needing. For 2-1/4 inch long shackle straps you'd then want the part # 18-11GALV. For the equalizers # TREQE1. And then for bolts # 126B2.
