Will Trailer Hitch Fit 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 With Roll Pan Bumper
While you can install a trailer hitch on your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500, the hitch you referenced is only a fit for the 1500 models so it won't work for your truck. There aren't any hitches designed specifically for a 2500 that has a roll pan bumper so any trailer hitch you get will require you to do some trimming of the bumper. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13208 will fit either a 6-1/2 foot or 8 foot bed; I have added a link to the instructions of this hitch for you to check out as well.

Hitch Compatibility on GM HD Trucks from 1994- 2002
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 13028 that fits a 1994 GMC 1500HD will not fit a 2002 GMC 2500HD. It does fit the 2000-2007 3500 cab and chassis models. For a class III hitch that does fit your 2002 GMC 2500HD you are going to want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 13208.

The best trailer hitch for your 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 will vary depending on what you're going to use it for and possibly whether you have an 8 ft. or 6-1/2 ft. bed. If you need to haul a lot of weight I would suggest the Curt Class V CD 2-1/2" # C15703. This will get the most out of your truck for your dollar and will work with either length of truck beds.
