Today we're going to review part number AM3422. This is the replacement shank with the 5.5 inch drop and 6.5 inch rise for rapid hitch adjustable ball mounts. If you get a new vehicle or a trailer and you need to replace the adjustable shank in your rapid hitch ball mount system with one that's 5.5 inch drop or 6.5 inch rise, then this is the product for you. This is designed to work with the rapid hitch AM3300 and AM3400 series adjustable ball mount systems. This part is constructed of very lightweight, durable aluminum alloy. As you can see, your adjustments are in 1 inch increments. This part is made in the USA.
Again, the specs on this, it's designed to fit 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitches. The maximum rise, which will be in that position when you put your ball mount on here would be 6.5 inches. The maximum drop would be 5.5 inches. This does have a towing weight capacity of 1500 pounds, a trailer weight capacity of 10,000 pounds, but you do need to make sure that it will be limited by your ball capacity, if ball capacity is less, then you'd have to go by that rating.
