Hi there, I'm Michael, with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this OptiMate 2 Duo Smart Battery Charger. This is an AC to DC charger that's going to plug in to your standard 120 volt wall outlet, and thin it's going to automatically charge, test, and maintain four 12 volt batteries simultaneously. This will provide a maximum charge amperage of two amps per battery bank, so it will do a good job of charging up those batteries. It will work with a variety of battery types, thanks to the multiple battery profiles that we have so that we can set this for lead-acid batteries, or, lithium iron phosphate. So if you have a lead-acid battery, it will work with your Flooded AGM Gel and enhanced flooded batteries from six to 96 amp hours.
And with your lithium iron phosphate batteries, it'll work from two to 24 amp hours. So it's going to be perfect for motorcycles, ATVs, lawnmowers, cars, trucks, tractors, and other equipment to help get those batteries charged up when they're in storage in your garage, or storage area. This does have a five step charging algorithm that is going to analyze your battery's condition and then automatically charge and maintain to prevent overcharging. Once it gets fully charged, it will maintain the battery at 100% to help extend the battery life and improve performance. It does have a low voltage detection rating of four volts, so it will be able to tell if the battery is extremely discharged.
It's very simple to operate, you can see we're gonna have LED lights to indicate charging status for each battery here, so we can easily tell what's going on with our batteries even if we have all four hooked up at the same time. This does have a durable, waterproof case, and this can be mounted on your wall. You can see there's already spots here where you can put a nail or a screw through there to have this mounted on your wall. The cable that is going to attach to your wall outlet is six feet long, so it gives you quite a bit of room there to mount this in a location within six feet of a wall outlet. And then your charging cables are each going to be six feet as well.
Each one is going to have one of these SAE connectors that allow us to choose what kind of connection we want to make to our battery. So, we are gonna have four sets of these clamps, and these are gonna be more for your temporary, quick, easy way to hook up to your battery, connect to the positive and negative side, or post of your battery once you have it connected onto the SAE connector there. So this is going to be great for maybe bringing in a battery that you don't use all the time, or if you're wanting to switch out. And then you also have these islets here, you got four of these. This is going to be more of a permanent installation, so you'll get these mounted on your posts on your battery, and then you can see we've got a spot in this holder here for zip ties, so that we can secure this to our vehicle.
There's a couple of slits there that you just pass some zip ties through and connect, and that way this will stay on your vehicle. You can disconnect it, go out and have fun, and then I bring it back in, easily connect it right back in place. It's got this weatherproof seal and cap to help keep out dirt and moisture when it's disconnected, very easy to open up and get connected to your SAE fitting there. Super easy, and it's already connected to your battery, so, you just have to make that one connection and you'll be ready to go. This does have a 15 amp fuse to help protect the electronics from any potential short circuits. So you will have four of those 20 inch long islets, and then four of these 20 inch long battery clamps. So you can have these permanently installed on certain applications, and then have these still sitting around just in case there's other batteries that you want to get charged up in the meantime. So lots of options here, giving you both the lead-acid and the lithium battery types. This is gonna cover a lot of bases and make sure that your batteries are gonna be charged. So that's going to complete our look for today, again, I'm Michael, with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
