How to Carry Bike Rack and Flat Tow Vehicle with 10 INch Riser Adapter

Question:

Connect a dual hitch receiver to a 10inch riser to both tow a jeep and add a bike rack I have a 40 Class A diesel pusher towing a 2DR Jeep with about a 5inch lift. I use a Roadmaster RM-048-10 10inch riser to level a BlueOx Tow bar with the Jeep. I want to add a Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 10inch /Rise RM-077-10 so I can also mount a bike rack between the motorhome and jeep. The bike rack + bikes is a max of 120lbs so well below a 400 lb tongue weight. The BlueOx tow bar and dual hitch receiver adapter I assume are 100 lbs each. Is there an issue connecting a dual high receiver adapter to a 10inch riser?

I do have a solution for you, however I do not recommend using the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver # RM-077-10 in conjunction with the High-Low Adapter # RM-048-10 that you already have. Using an adapter with another adapter like this will cause a really unstable connection and essentially reduce the weight capacity of your RV's hitch to an unknown number.

A better solution for what you are looking to do is with the Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-515 (or for just the shank part # 325-GH-305). This unique, heavy-duty ball mount provides 5 stacked 2 inch receivers that will let you connect both your tow bar and bike rack without the need for a separate adapter. This particular model features a 10 inch rise (or drop), a 10,000 pound towing weight limit, and a 1,500 tongue weight capacity.

I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.
