Can The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter Tow A Motorcycle Trailer And Haul E-Bikes
Question:
I am considering this hitch: Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter for Tow Bars - 2inch Hitches - 2-1/4inch Rise/. I want to carry my 2 ebikes, approx 55lbs each, and pull my motorcycle trailer. My motorcycle weighs less than 500lbs. Is this hitch capable of supporting my ebikes and motorcycle trailer? Also, my truck receiver requires a 2inch sleeve adapter do you have any 2 1/2inch receiver options so I can do away with the additional sleeve?

The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter for Tow Bars # RM-077-2 is not recommend for use with a trailer so you'd be voiding any warranty towing your motorcycle trailer with it. It also only has a 400lb tongue weight so you'd need to make sure that the weight of the bike rack, bike, and tongue weight from the trailer doesn't exceed 400lbs. There isn't a 2-1/2" version of this adapter but a stacked receiver might be the better option for you.
The Gen-Y Phantom X Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # GY95XR has four receiver positions so that you have enough clearance between the trailer and bike rack and has a much higher capacity at 16,000lbs GTW / 16,000lbs TW. This also comes with a 2-1/2" shank so you won't have to use the sleeve anymore.
