This is one solid hitch. Bought the hitch to pull about 5000 lbs. there's no doubt in my mind that it can handle it.
I was going to buy an alternative ball mount but it had a long lead time. Etrailer recommend one that was in stock and it arrived much quicker. Am very happy with etrailer.

This item is used on a 2016 F150 that has a 4" suspension lift. It is a solid piece of steel with double the tow rating. Sure; I could have afforded one of those "fancy" adjustable balls. However, most are not rated very high. Typically 4 tons.
I wanted something with a higher rating and this one; solid-piece has done what is needed without possible points of failure. The towed trailer is level to the towing vehicle. I only tow the same trailer for long periods of time. I don't need to have all the hitch sizes available or the various heights. Great price at etrailer and promptly shipped. Thank you

Would have given the ball mount 5 stars for fit and finish but the Curt decal was laying in the box. You say no big deal, but it is a big deal because the decal has the ball mount 17,000 lb rating on it. The ball mount does not have the rating stamped in it like most ball mounts. So without the decal it is just a piece of cast material disguised as a ball mount. The problem is. The glue on the decal isn't thick enough to stick to the rough cast material. I shouldn't have to, but I will glue it back on with thicker glue.

Still works great!!
This product is very heavy duty and the price was great. It fit perfectly and looks very good on the 2017 Toyota Tundra with a 6 inch lift. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have used this product regularly for a year and it is still outstanding!
Heavy duty and well made. Disappointed that it's made in China (my other 7,500 lbs Curt hitch is made in the USA)

This is a great ball mount with a nice powder coat that is holding up well. The unit is used with the 5 inch rise position. The the gross weight of the trailer that the mount is used for is 18k pounds with the tongue weight of about 1700 pounds. The product performance is excellent.
have not received the hitch, the license plate cover poorly packaged and bent.

This ball mount is as heavy duty as the web site picture makes it out to be, it's solid forged construction gives it the mass necessary to handle the load and best of all it fits my factory Ford receiver, which some others did not. All in all a nice piece I would recommend it whether the weight rating is needed or not.

Working as it should. It is quite heavy. Wish they had it in 2.5 inch tho so I wouldn't have had to purchase the sleeve.
Just what I wanted with the correct amount of drop for my Subaru ascent. Very solid and rounded edges if bumped so no sore shins.
Very good part, have used it with both my Truck and my brothers. Since they are both 4x4, and the trailer we usually use is low, the drop of the part worked great.

It is heavy and it works without problem. Be sure to follow calculation of height. Our camper is perfectly level when towing.
