This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. Heavy-Duty Construction
Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 22,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.
The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
Setting Up the BulletProof Ball Mount
To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 3" x 3" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
Because of this mount's significant drop, it's recommended that you install a stabilizer kit (358stabilizerbars - sold separately) to prevent any wobbling and to remove strain from your hitch receiver.
BulletProof Ball Mount Accessories
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this BulletProof Hitches Adjustable Two-Ball Mount for Three-Inch Hitches. This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 pounds, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. This shank is gonna slide into your three-inch hitch receiver on your vehicle and it's ideal for vehicles with 25 to 27 inches of clearance from the ground to the bottom of the inside of your receiver tube. The adjustable height lets you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. This hitch ball platform just is going to easily slide up and down the channel and it's gonna secure in place with the included pins and clips, and this adjustable channel is made of 5/16 of an inch thick laser cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending, and because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pinholes.
So as you're gonna see, you can easily remove and replace these pin and clips and it's not going to be a challenge at all. So I'm just gonna go ahead and adjust this ball platform and you can see how easily these pins slide out, and I have this set currently on the 2 5/16-inch ball and I'm just gonna turn it to our 2-inch ball, slide it a little bit lower in our channel. And one of the things I really love about BulletProof Hitches is just how easily these pins will slide in and out, no problem at all. You know, sometimes with the other ball mounts, it can be kind of a struggle to get those pins in especially the first time. First couple times you may use it, it may be kind of a struggle, but right out of the box, these pins are gonna slide easily and you're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle struggling with it.
Now speaking of these pins, they are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The zinc finish provides corrosion resistance. And as you can see, we have eight adjustment holes and those eight adjustment holes are gonna give you six mounting positions that are gonna provide a maximum drop of about 11 1/4 inches. And then when you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of about 10 1/4 inches, and the adjustment hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch. Now with the two-inch ball, you can tow up to 12,000 pounds, and with the 2 5/16-inch ball, you can tow up to 22,000 pounds, and the maximum tongue weight capacity is 3000 pounds.
The hitch balls are welded directly to the ball platform for extra sturdiness. So again, this is gonna be a very strong, a very durable, a very capable ball mount that you're not gonna have to worry about damaging easily at all. It's going to be able to take the punishment and it's gonna be able to provide that heavy-towing capability. This is made in the USA of heavy-duty steel construction that's strong enough, as I mentioned, to handle large trailers and heavy cargo. And another thing I really appreciate about BulletProof Hitches ball mounts is that they have this matte-textured, powdercoat finish that's gonna protect the ball mount, not only from rust and corrosion, but I think it makes it look attractive and it's gonna look great on the back of your vehicle, and so this finish is gonna hold up even after repeated use.
The style of solid steel shank is CNC chamfer and what that means is this is gonna be easily to slide into and out of your hitch receiver, and because of these chamfer edges, you're not gonna have to worry about sharp edges on the shank and that powdercoating is gonna be less likely to chip and peel. Now the hitch pin hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch. I do wanna mention that pin and clips or hitch lock are not included with this. So if you don't have a compatible pin and clip that you could use with this, that would be a separate purchase. However, I would recommend taking a look at our hitch locks here at etrailer.com since this is an investment that you are making with the BulletProof Hitch ball mount, so you'll wanna secure this investment to the back of your vehicle. Now this also features a 1/2-inch thick steel gusset that as you can see is welded in between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending even at the maximum drop or rise, and this adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories which are sold separately. So for instance, instead of using the included ball to tow, you could install a weight distribution shank in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system or you could add a clevis or a shackle attachment for off-road or recovery operations, or simply add a hitch step to easily access your truck bed. Sent me the wrong hitch. Ordered the 6” drop, received the 4” drop. Hitch itself is ok, powder coating wore off ball and where it goes into receiver on first use.

I bought this hitch just under one year. To date, the hitch has performed fine. HOWEVER, the cheap powder coating has turned the entire hitch into a an eyesore. Its just rusting like mad, and the powder coat is now flaking in large chunks. Looks like crap on the back of the truck. I don't even live in an area where salt accumulates or they use it on the roadway.

Extremely noisy. Powder coat peeled almost immediately and the tolerances on the pins makes this rattle horribly. I finally got so sick of the noise I cut foam to put between the ball mount and receiver. This hitch has not seen much use and only for light duty (under 10k lbs). I won't buy another one. All of the other hitches we have are Andersen Rapid Hitch. I tried this after all the claims by BulletProof on how great they are. Very disappointed

I own several adjustable 2-1/2" hitches and like this one a lot. It isn't terribly heavy for being steel and is very easy to adjust. I like the pins versus the key-operated mechanism on my aluminum adjustable hitch. Works great with my Chevy 2500 and various trailers and boats from 5000 to 14000 lbs.

The hitch looks very well made. I recently made some changes to my 02 F250 and needed a drop hitch.I mostly pull a #10000 GTW equipment trailer but occasionally pull a #14000 GTW dump trailer and a utility trailer with a 2" ball. This hitch fits my needs perfectly.

I purchased the 2-1/2" Bulletproof Adj Ball Mount for my 2019 RAM 2500 (Laramie, 4WD, 20" Rims&Tires, Off-Road Suspension) to have 1 mount for various trailers. This replaces various 2" mounts used on my 01 Silverado 2500. This is one serious, substantial piece of equipment! Heavy, good welds, nice powder coating! Pix compares this mount with a 7500# 2" Draw-tite mount. Nothing wrong with the Draw-tite, but no comparison in mass.
Some measurements, if interested: Truck: inside top of Receiver: 25" above grade. Bottom of mount without balls: 9-3/4" above grade (clearance). With 2-5/16" ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 17" above grade. bottom of 2" ball: 9-1/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-7/8" above grade. With 2" Ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 16-1/2" above grade; bottom of 2-5/16" ball: 8-3/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-1/2" above grade.

This is quite a robust hitch. I received it in record time and it's already mounted to our motorhome First trip starts this coming weekend so we shall see but I believe this hitch is exactly what we need to tow a 24 ft. flatbed trailer with our Ford Expedition.
