Today we're gonna be taking a look at the panel lock slam latch. A slam latch is ideal for doors, drawers, truck and trailer bodies, construction, farm equipment, and all aircraft applications. Slam latches are very versatile and can be used for many different applications. This latch is gonna offer easy, secure closure. It's gonna feature this spring-leaded pin with the angled tip that provides easy, hands free latching action. That angled tip allows the pin to automatically retract when you slam the door shut, and the spring will then force the pin into the keeper.

Keeper not included. The square shape of the pin helps ensure easy operation, as well as the square shape of the spring. Those two components together really allow for nice, smooth, seamless operation. Now, when it comes to the construction, it's constructed of passivated stainless steel, so it's very strong and durable. And it's gonna do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion.

You'll notice that right here it has a rubber handle, a rubber cover that goes over the handle that is secured on there with adhesive, so you don't have to worry about that slipping off. And that handle simply just provides a nice, easy, grip design. When it comes to the dimensions of the body, edge-to-edge this direction is about two inches. Going this direction, it's gonna measure one and five-eighths of an inch. The height, or depth, depending on how you have it mounted, 13/16th of an inch. Now, when it comes to the dimension of the pin, the overall length is three and three-quarters of an inch long.

And then it measures 7/16ths of an inch by 7/16ths of an inch. Is that nice square design. The extension, that's how far it extends from the body, it's gonna measure three-quarters of an inch long. Your mount holes are gonna be separated apart from one-another on center going this direction are one and 1/8th. Going this direction, by an inch and a quarter.

Mount hole diameter is 3/16ths of an inch. Mounting hardware is not included.
