2010 Honda CR-V - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Honda CR-V's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

Avoid tapping into your towed vehicle's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Good light set. Works perfectly and has held up well.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Everything was delivered on time and worked perfectly. This solved my concerns about towing my car with my RV with a car dolly.

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

lights look fine....

easy hitch
is far better than I expected....very nice. I should have gotten this sooner!!!

2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Very strong magnets and plenty of length on the cord for a car in tow.

by:

I looked everywhere for these lights. Lots of cheep ones out there for 2-2X $$ but these are the real deal and a great price. Shipment was early and response was great. Thank you for the quality product.

  • Recommended Parts Needed To Flat Tow 2000 Dodge Dakota With Automatic Transmission
Your 2002 Dakota can be flat-towed. I did some research and found the recreational towing instructions on page 202 of the owner's manual. There are restrictions and instructions you will need to follow in order to tow your truck. You will need several items when you want to tow your Dakota. First you will need base plates. I recommend the Demco Base Plate kit, part # DM9518037. For a tow bar I recommend the Excali-Bar, part # DM9511013. This comes with safety cables. If you plan on...

  • Towing a non-SS 2010 Chevy HHR Behind a Motor Home
No, the Chevy HHR and HHR SS are fundamentally different were the base plates install so you would not be able to use the SS base plates, # 523159-1, on a non-SS model. I have verified this with my contact at Roadmaster. For a non-SS model you would use base plates # 3141-1. For a compatible tow bar I recommend the Falcon 2, # RM-520, and safety cables # RM-643. For lighting you can use a magnetic lighting kit # RM-2120. Or for a more permanent solution you can use diode kit # RM-154....

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2000 Chevy S-10 Behind an RV
Curt Tow Bar # C19745 isn't vehicle specific so you can use it on your 2000 Chevy S-10. It comes with universal bumper brackets that will need to mount to a flat, metal section of the vehicle bumper which does require modifying/reinforcing the bumper/vehicle. This tow bar is fine for moving vehicles short distances but as a regular use tow bar it is not a good solution. If you will be towing the S-10 long distances behind an RV then I recommend a custom flat towing set up. For that you...

In order to determine if your vehicles can be flat towed and if there are any special requirements (such as a specific transmission or engine) you will want to consult your vehicle owner's manuals. To flat tow either vehicle you will need 5 main components: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and a supplemental braking system. Base plates for the Cadillac SRX: # 3125-3. Base plates for the Ford Edge: # 4408-1. Compatible tow bar for either vehicle: Falcon # RM-520. Safety...

The Roadmaster Falcon 5350 tow bar will work with the XL base plates # 495-1A on your 2014 Ford F-150 STX. No adapter will be needed. But this tow bar is rated for a maximum of 5,000 pounds. If your truck is heavier then you will need to use a different tow bar. The Falcon 2, # RM-520, is rated for 6,000 pounds. The Blackhawk 2, # RM-422, is rated for 10,000 pounds. In addition to the tow bar and the base plates you will also need safety cables if you do not have some already. For 7,500...

  • Compatibility of Roadmaster # RM-2120 Magnetic Tow Lights with 2011 Cadillac SRX
When the # RM-2120 lamps are installed on your vehicle, they will operate completely independently of the lights on the towed vehicle. As long as your RV has a properly installed 4-way trailer connector for the magnetic lamps to plug into, all should work just fine. You mentioned that the RV has a 'separate' lighting system, which would use an amber turn signal bulb or have an amber turn signal lens. A properly installed 4-way will be already converted so the turn signal and brake lamp...

For the 2015 Chevy Colorado you can use the Blue Ox bulb and socket kit # BX8869. I have linked a video showing an example installation. I also recommend coiled extension kit # BX8862. Another is to use a magnetic kit such as # RM-2120 since they are not vehicle specific. This is a low cost option that you could use until such a time that other kits become available.

These are XL style base plates and they are compatible with the Stowmaster series of tow bars. You will not need any additional parts to attach the tow bar to these base plates. In addition to the tow bar and base plates, you will also need safety cables if you do not already have some, lighting, and supplemental braking. For safety cables you can use # BX88197.
