What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com, Tara we're checking out tow racks, L track system. These are tapered tracks. You can set down and drill into your trailer on the side walls of your trailer, anywhere you need them to be. And it allows you to add these accessories to help you tie stuff down.So this one's tapered, which means you can drive over it with lawnmower equipment or the wheels on our generator. We just pulled it right over there.

It doesn't get in the way, like the other strips don't have that. They're just those squares. So they kind of stick up a bunch and kind of are like a road bump for you when you're going through and moving things on your trailer. This is going to be out of the way, low profile, but you still get to use all the accessories that work with this L track. Let's check it out. Now, the ones we're looking at today is straight up aluminum, and this is 24 inches long.

Now they also come in black, but those are going to be 18, 12, and six inches across. So if you want one of those sizes, those will coming in the black. And if you're cool with the silver, this is going to be the longest one at 24 inches. This is the kind of L track accessories that's going to work with your track. What we do, as you want to line up the circle part where those two parts come together and it's going to push up on that. So it goes down in the track and then you just slide it back and it locks into place.

You see I'm pulling on it. It's not coming out.One of the nice things about the L tracks is they work well together. We've got two to 24 inch ones right next to each other on the trailer, giving us plenty of points to move our tie-down points. Now that's super helpful. That way, whatever you're pulling on this trailer, it might be the same thing every time, you might get new stuff and you might need just different points.

You want to tie it down a little tighter each time. You just move it to the point you need, and you can tie it down.If you didn't have that, you'd be kind of restricted to just the rails on the side of the trailer. And maybe you don't have straps that are long, they get it down tight, or it just doesn't help you tie down at those angles. This gives you all the angles and all the options you could need.I spent plenty of summers in long grass with my uncle. And as far as it makes me think of this is when you're pulling the lawnmowers up here. This kind of works as a stop. So it's easy to roll over there, but it also acts, if you park something up here and it shifted back a little bit, it has a little bit of a lip that way it keeps it in place and doesn't roll back.Another thing to know is that all the different sizes are made out of aluminum. So left out on this exposed trailer. It's going to be fine. The weather's not going to bother them. They're not going to corrode or rust and something else I want to point out is they're not just for trailers. You can set them up in your garage. They work like this, the accessories still clip in just fine. If you wanted to go on the sides of your trailer for tie down and points you could Mount them here, which you probably wouldn't use the taper design because it kind of defeats the purpose of it H=having that ramp. You'd probably just use the square one. And those are options too.But yeah, they're really versatile. They really help. you get those tie-down points and get things up off the bottom of your trailer, or just strap down to your trailer itself.Another accessory that I think would be helpful is the end caps. They just go right here on the end and take that hard edge that it initially is, and kind of tapers it, much like the front and back. So then you don't have to worry about if you're walking from side to side, tripping or kicking that while you're walking around on your trailer, this eliminates that, and it's got the mounting hole here. So it's going to stay in place. You don't have to worry about kicking it off or anything like that. Now it's really easy to install. We just drilled a couple of holes and put some nuts on the bottom. Hardware's not included. So you have to get yourself, but let's check out how we did it.We decided that this is where we're going to put our L track, we installed this one over here. So it's going to help us easily line this up, to know where to put this one at. I'm going to Mark the first hole, then remove the track, drill out that first hole. That way we can attach it with a bulb when we go to do the other ones. So I'm just going to make a mark in there. I'll just move it out of the way. That's what we're going to drill. So let's get to it.Like I set it back in place and drop the bolt through. So I dropped those last two bolts in after we drove the holes. Now I'm going to go underneath and tighten down the nuts. My friend Zack's going to be up here, holding in the screws. With them installed, see how they work when to run the generator over them, a little bit of a stop, but it rolled over there pretty easily. I'll come back and do it again just to show you that it doesn't get in your way when moving things onto your trailer. Probably be easier if I'm pulling it like you're supposed to, but I just wanted to show you how easily it went over there. It's pretty easy to install. It's going to be easy to work. I liked the way that you can put the accessories in the side for those extra tie-down spots. And again, the whole thing is low profile out of the way, tapered edges, so you can easily roll over it. And you're good. Well, thanks for hanging out. I hope this helped.
