With 18 cu ft of space, the Malone Profile18S has enough room for sports equipment, camping gear, or luggage for 3 to 4 people. The aerodynamic design helps reduce wind noise and drag. The locking lid opens from the passenger or driver side, and it's designed to provide clearance when you open your rear hatch. Quick-attach clamps accommodate most crossbar styles and spreads so you can install the box in minutes without tools. And the durable yet lightweight ABS plastic construction helps to prevent warping, denting, or cracking.
Sturdy, Dual-Side-Opening Lid
The Profile18S lid opens from both sides for easy access to your cargo. This means your gear is always close at hand whether you mount the box closer to the driver's or passenger's side. The extra-stiff lid helps reduce road noise and vibration, and it guards against dents and scratches. Built-in gas strut hinges make it easier to open and close the lid, and also help to keep the lid open while loading and unloading.
Built-In Lock
The box includes a built-in lock on both sides to secure your gear. This lock also deters theft of the box itself because it denies access to the mounting hardware. The key can only be removed once it is in the locked position, ensuring the box is securely locked and safe for transportation. 3 locking points on both sides keep the lid secure when locked.
Universal Clamp-On Mounting Hardware
The Profile18S installs with inward-facing quick-attach mounting clamps. These clamps fit most crossbar styles, and they are inserted into the slots along the floor of the box to accommodate different crossbar spreads. To adjust a clamp, loosen the knobs and move the clamp to the desired location. Then tighten the knobs down to close the clamp around your crossbar.

Great for carrying sports equipment and luggage for 3 - 4 people. Gas strut assisted lid.Super easy to mount on my Malone Microsport trailer. Will add lots of extra space for fishing/camping items. I like that you can open it from either side. My only complaint is the top seems flimsy when opening and closing. Admittedly this is my first cargo box that I have owned so they may all be like this. You have to make sure you use both hands, spread as far apart as you can when opening it. As long as you use both hands to open and close it this shouldn't be an issue. I can't wait to load it up and try it out.

I love this roof top cargo box! We put it on our SUV at the beginning of the summer and took it off at the end of October. It went through torrential rain storms, hail, days of soaking rain and there was not one drop of water inside. Fits great on my 2011 Toyota Highlander with factory installed roof rack. I love that it opens from both sides. Really a great buy considering other brands go for twice the price and this one works wonderfully!
Easy to install and remove without tools. My garage is too low to accommodate suv with carrier in place.

It looks like a great roof top cargo box. The grey color looks awesome. I can’t wait to install it on my car. It was delivered on a pallet and it was well surrounded by a sturdy box. It came with no damage.

Very happy with this roof cargo box. The side logo stickers fell off almost immediately, but I dont care about that. Just did a 3 week trip out west and this was invaluable as extra storage space.
I like the size of the box - will fit skis up to about 190cm, but one of the spring loaded opening arms has been a problem from day one. The angle of the knuckle is not square and it pops off all the time. No luck with getting any sort of fix from the manufacturer.

It was missing hardware when it arrived, and I called etrailer in a panic. Our big family camping trip to the Tetons was in days and our stuff wouldn't fit in our new car without a roof box. They responded immediately and sent the hardware and it arrived in days. Fantastic customer service. And this roof box has been excellent. It looks great on our car, so I haven't taken it off since I installed it last year. It's been all over the West, through heavy rains, dumping snow, high winds - and the inside is always perfectly dry. I love this box and would definitely buy again.

Another summer under our belt and the cargo box is still holding up perfectly. I tell everyone to buy this one since its so sturdy and less expensive than others. The brand sticker came off but Im not surprised considering the weather it has been through. Still no water inside though!
