This compact cargo bag lets you transport up to 17.5 cu ft of gear on your vehicle's cargo carrier. It's perfect for small luggage, sports equipment, tents, and sleeping bags. The poly canvas tarpaulin construction, welded seams, and covered zippers help to keep your gear clean and dry. The bag attaches to your carrier with 8 integrated straps, and it folds up for compact storage.
The cargo bag is constructed of 500-denier tarpaulin so it's hard to cut or tear, and it protects your cargo from dirt, dust, and road grime. The seams are also welded to create a watertight seal.
A large opening on top of the bag makes it easy to load and unload your cargo. Two zippers wrap around 3 sides of the bag so you can fully open the top, and because it opens from the rear, the zippers won't open due to oncoming wind. The zippers are covered with a flap that secures with hook-and-loop fasteners. This flap provides extra moisture protection for your cargo. You can add a small padlock (sold separately) to the zippers to secure your cargo.
The bag has 8 tie-down straps with Duraflex snap buckles that secure it to your cargo carrier. Simply feed the straps through the rails or bars of your cargo carrier, connect the buckles, and pull the straps tight. You can use the included hook-and-loop retainers to keep the excess strap length out of the way. The extra-strong straps have a UV50+ protection rating so they won't break down even after extended exposure to the sun.
This bag is flexible so you can fold it up and store it on a shelf in your garage or basement when you're not using it. It includes a storage bag to protect the bag and keep it clean and dry.

Overall this functioned exactly liked I had hoped it would. My application was a 2800 mile round trip during winter. I used the bag in my truck bed of my pickup under a tonneau cover that is not water tight. I figured driving that much during winter I was bound to hit some good snow storms or rain in the south. I did hit heavy rain and snow during the trip and the water proof functionality worked perfectly. The reason for only a 3 star versus a 5 star is that after returning home and unpacking it seems the bottom is not very durable and the suitcases caused wear holes in the bottom. I bought some gorilla tape and patched at least 7 or 8 holes so should be good for next trip and I will try to be extra careful on packing so I do not damage the delicate underbelly.

It was not affixed. How the damage happened was due to pulling the bag towards end of bed of truck to load and pushing back into bed.

That seems to be where the problem is. These bags are not meant to be slid or dragged with luggage or any other items inside of them. They are designed to be attached to a platform rack, loaded then unloaded, before removing the bag from the rack.

That is total crap. I merely slid the bag back to the edge of the truck bed and it friction tore in multiple places. The bag is not durable and a piece of junk. It was not mounted to crossbars nor a vehicle roof. It does not mention anything about not putting in a truck bed with a tonneau cover.
Had it on top of our Jeep for a 6 month roadtrip. Kept stuff dry and pretty clean. The desert dust didn't get in to bad.
We did use vacuum seal bags to help to keep stuff dry and no dust.
Only used it for one trip to Colorado and the bag started coming apart. Had it secured good to roof rack. I really liked this bag, fit my roof rack perfect, maybe I just got a defective one.

My Thule cargo basket has a real slick yet sturdy design. Strong, loads of space, good finish, and more tie down points than I have ratchet straps. Takes my Outback from being a boring family wagon to a cool trekking machine. While I did encounter initial issues with parts fit, etrailer was immediately responsive and took care to ensure it all worked out. Genuine five stars for service, thank you etrailer!
Rhino Rack Luggage Bag, the best big bag I have found. I mount it on top of my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and leave it there. I carry the cots and sleeping bags and other light things in it. The last Rhino Bag I had on top of my Jeep lasted 9 years before the sun ate it up.

I like the Rhino bags. The first one lasted about 10 years on top of my Jeep full time. The straps disintegrated and I had to sew on new straps and towards the end it leaked. My current Rhino bag is over a year old and the only problem is it leaks when it rains, so far I have not been able to find the leak. Other than that I like the bags.
Love this roof rack! Installs easily on top of my Subaru Outback. My husband just needed some help lifting it on the tracks. It holds an incredible amount of cargo. I purchased a waterproof bag for the rack and everything stayed dry through numerous rain storms when we traveled cross country. There was no friction noise noticeable when traveling at highway speeds. It might sound silly but, it looks good on top of the Subaru so, decided to keep it on the vehicle. We are extremely happy with the quality, paint, workmanship, and price of the rack. If you need a roof rack, don't hesitate to get this one!
You'll notice this is one of the few bags labeled as "waterproof" and not "water resistant". The materials used, details in construction, and not shying away from saying their product is in fact "waterproof" helps explain why you get what you pay for.
We used this for a 1200 mile round trip out west with three busy young boys, who require lots of luggage. The RhinoRack provided amazing storage and more than enough room to store most of our stuff which allowed us to have more space inside the cab!
High quality bag to fit my Rhio-Rack RMCB02. The bag is technically larger but fits fine, I'm not packing to the full width anyway. Plenty of room in this bag for luggage and other items. Plenty big, especially since you're going to have weight limits to contend with on the roof. Really liked the lower profile of this compared to some other bags. Especially since my crossbars were kind of high already.
The size is good. The tie-downs are great. Very heavy duty and very waterproof. I’ve driven through serious sustained downpours without a leak. Zippers work fine. Velcro flaps work well too. Good for cross-country driving. Easy to store too in the supplied bag. Functions as expected.
