Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson E-Track Strap.These are 2" wide. For the 12' strap, part number is EM59136. For 16', part number is EM59139. Finally, for the 20' strap, the part number is EM59140.Now, the E-Track Straps from Erickson have been designed specifically to work with the E-Track, also from Erickson. They're going to clip in anywhere along the track. These are on 2" center, so it gives you a lot of versatility.

Regardless of what size or type item you're trying to get strapped down, this is going to be an excellent solution.Here you can see the strap. We're using it to hold our UTV in place, using it in conjunction with the Erickson Wheel Chocks, also available on our website. You see it's a nice heavy duty strap. You can see we got good heavy duty stitching here on this end, and also on the other end. We've got our E-Track coupler here.

It just slides right in and clicks into place and makes it a very, very convenient way to get your item strapped in, and you're not going to be chasing the hooks back and forth. With the standard hooks, a lot of times, you get one side connected, you go to the other, and it just pops off. This completely eliminates that situation.You also notice on the connectors here, and on our release handle on our ratchet, we have the full yellow zinc coating, so if you are going to be using them out in the elements, they should stand up and resist corrosion for a very long time.Something else I like about this strap, you'll notice one side of it is pretty plain. It just has the single black line that runs down. The other side of it is going to have the printing on it, so you'll be able to keep your straps straight, and that'll give you less issues when it's time to ratchet it down.To release the strap, we'll pull down on our handle.

Works just like any other ratchet strap will. Rotate that up so we have that release, and then we can pull our slack. You'll notice that stays in place. We don't have to worry about that coming out. When we're ready to remove it, we've got this small tab right here on the side.

Just lift up, slide it over, and bring it right up and out. Then we can reverse that process for installation. Then we can pull that slack out when we're ready to re-secure it, and just work our ratchet.Now, Erickson isn't your only option for buying straps that are going to work with the E-Track system. Snap-Loc also has a couple of straps available. The overall feel between the two straps, in my opinion, the Erickson seems to have a slightly thicker strap material. Also, the way they kind of boxed the edges of the stitching here, versus the stitching that we have here on the Snap-Loc, certainly seems like it's going to hold up for a much longer time.As far as the connection point to the E-Track, they're going to be exactly the same. As far as our handles are concerned, they're almost identical again. I think the only difference we have between this one and this one is going to be the clear zinc finish versus the yellow.One thing you will notice about the Snap-Loc strap, it does have a loop at the end of it that can help you pull, where with the Erickson, we're just going to have this straight to that end.Now, the Snap-Loc strap does have a higher weight rating. It's at 1467, where with the Erickson, we're at 1165. Now, the Snap-Loc strap also has hook and loop here, so as we roll that up, we're able to use that to keep it secured. With the Erickson strap, you're not going to have that.Now overall, the Erickson strap, to me, feels a little bit more sturdy. It feels like it's going to last a little bit longer than the Snap-Loc, but they are very, very comparable to one another.That's going to complete our look at the Erickson line of E-Track 2" Wide Straps.
