Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Valterra DWV 1 1/2 inch P-trap with the union for your RV sewer system. Now, this P-trap with the union is a DWV, which stands for drain, waste and vent fitting. And it's part of your RV's waste management system. This fitting will install under your sink, shower, or bathtub.
And then the water in the dip of the P-trap will help create a seal to prevent any sewer gases in your holding tanks from entering the RV. This is a nice, sturdy ABS plastic construction. The union joint right here, this will screw together to connect the two pieces of the P-trap. And it is a very simple installation. These will just slide on the hubs onto your sewer system pipes.
And it installs using ABS solvent cement, which we do sell separately on our website. It's part number AO5-0303. And it's listed on this product page as related product. This part is IAPMO certified. Few specs on this, we're gonna give you the overall dimensions.
So, if we do the height on this, gonna be right at six inches tall. The width on it, we go from one end to the other, it's right at 6 1/2 inches wide. And then the hub diameter, inside diameter is 1 7/8 inches. Also, 1 7/8 inches. So, that means it'll accept the 1/2 inch pipes on both ends.
