Today we're going taking a look at the Camco RV grey water drain adapter. Now this adapter lets you drain your RV's grey water tank at a campground dump station. The unit is actually a two piece design, two piece construction. The sponge is going to be the piece that fits tightly into the dump station inlet to provide an odor-tight, leak-proof seal. Does not require any tools. It's just a press and seal application so you just push it into the opening at the dump station. Then the adapter fits into the sponge and you press it down until it's tight.
That's going to provide the attachment point for the waste hose for your grey water tank. Not only does the unit allow you to drain the grey water tank but the sponge can be used separately. It can be used with a regular drain hose and other fittings as well. The opening here at the top that's going to give us a measurement of about three and one quarter of an inch. Here at the bottom that opening is about two and three quarters of an inch. Now on this adapter it's going to feature an easy gripper.
This is an easy gripper design. This easily threads onto the garden hose drain hose and has the appropriate internal seal for an airtight, odor-tight and leak-proof connection point. The unit's constructed of engineered grade resins to provide strength and durability. Products made in the USA. A few other measurements that I want to go over with you real quick. Just here at the sponge, I want to give you the outer diameter, edge to edge, that's going to be about four and seven eighths.
Outer diameter here on the bottom, edge to edge, is about three and three quarters of an inch. Overall height is only going to measure about two and one eighth of an inch, and then the thickness of that material is about three quarters of an inch thick. That's going to do it for today's look at the Camco RV grey water drain adapter.

This is exactly what I needed to secure a gray water hose in place. An added benefit is I can easily remove the gray segment and safely dump the liquids from my compost toilet. Because the hose attachment is slightly elevated and I am unable to create a continuous downward release, the flow from the van is initially slowed but eventually catches up.
