pure sine wave inverter

This 12V inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power so you can plug in tools and appliances. Using pure sine wave technology, it creates clean power with low distortion, making it safe, efficient, and perfect for sensitive electronics like computers. Plus, the inverter can generate 3,500 starting watts and 2,000 running watts which is a great fit for appliances and electronics.

Functions and Features

outlets and terminals on inverter

The inverter includes 2 GFCI outlets for AC loads, positive and negative DC input terminals that connect to your batteries, and a port for a fixed-mount remote (sold separately). It has a function switch that lets you select different output voltages (100V, 110V, 115V, and 120V) and frequencies (50Hz and 60Hz). This switch can also turn the power saver on and off. Additionally, the power saving adjustment dial near the function switch sets the input and wake up thresholds for the power saver.

The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage, overloading, and overcurrent. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.

fuse block

For additional safety, installing a fuse between the battery bank and the inverter will protect your equipment from power surges. The Go Power 300-amp fuse block (sold separately) works with this unit and uses a slow blow time-delay feature to withstand surge current. This means it can handle short surges over 300 amps without blowing the fuse, which is great for devices with motors that require more energy to start.

How It Installs

The inverter mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals are wired to the battery bank.

Available Fixed-Mount Remotes Provide Easy Monitoring and Control

There are 2 fixed-mount remotes (sold separately) that let you monitor and control the inverter from inside your RV.

GP-SWR-A inverter remote

For a simple, no-frills option, the Go Power GP-SWR-A Inverter Remote lets you turn your inverter on and off from inside your RV. It also has a LED which indicates the inverter's status.

GP-ISW-R-12 inverter remote

For additional features, the Go Power GP-ISW-R-12 Inverter Remote provides LED indicators that display the voltage, output power, inverter status, power saving mode status, and fault conditions. It also has a power button that controls the inverter.

One year + later, this inverter is great! I have it connected to two battleborn lithium batteries. We can run our TV although we don’t much, our Microware, or our coffee Kirin machine - of course not all at once. The fan is a bit noisy but it only fires up when drawing heavy from the inverter. Love it and recommend it.

I love that etrailer asks for followup reviews 1 year after purchase. Reviews made after installation or a short period of time are not all that helpful. I am still loving this Inverter and we use it alot! True we hear the fan when pushing it, but that isnt a bad thing imo.

Works great, the unit is powering a work shed in the backyard. The Inverter is paired up with 400w of solar and two battleborn 100a batteries. The unit replaced a 3000w inverter from another company that fried twice within a year.

by:

I am always amazed at how well the team and eTrailer service customers. The communication from product purchase to delivery is exceptional. Price/value of products is highly appreciated as well. I always save time and money when going to eTrailer to find parts for my Lance 2445 Trailer.

by:

This product is reliable and works well to the stated 400 watts when the load is steady. I like that this unit works well with my 29.4V DC battery pack (7S). Past 250 watts, even small surges will trip the unit off. At around 250 watts(steady) my quart compressor cooler will kill AC power out when it kicks on. It appears that the 600 watt surge rating is inaccurate.

by:

I have this installed and the included remote does not work as described in the instructions. When not connected to shore power the remote shows the charger function on yet the instructions say this is not an option.

Also, I changed the power saver mode to 15 minutes from the default off. I didn’t see a change in the remote output after several hours.

Less than 10 days after I ordered this etrailer dropped the price $XXX.XX. That’s not insignificant and they wouldn’t do anything for me about it.

by:

I replaced my magnum that went out due to a wiring issue. It was easy to replace for the most part although the wire to the controll panel was 6 wire and the old one was 4. It works very well. All I lost was the self start of the old one. Very good product.

by:

Inverter failed around the one year mark with light use. 1 star for that but 3 stars overall because of GoPowers customer service who provided a replacement without trouble.

by:

Good advice to help decide which inverter is right for us. Really fast shipping and delivery.

by:

Installed last year in a horse trailer with living quarters. Using with a pair of Dakota lithium batteries. Works great. Powers Microwave with ease. love the ability to pull from battery while also using generator; i can run both microwave and coffee maker together like this.

Points of note:
1) When inverter is turned on there is a quiet weird chirp occasionally. If you're a light sleeper sensitive to sounds, be prepared for a "what is that?" if it is installed in the LQ area.
2) If batteries are full and i plug in my Furman generator (Costco purchased from Costco), the generator gets tripped in to overload when float charging is enabled. Not an issue when charging batteries.

by:

Product works designed. It was professionally installed along with instant hot water and 4 vmax tanks.

by:

Perfect to charge phones, computers, and other electronic items with off grid. And use my CPAP.

by:

We are currently working on hooking up the inverter we ordered from etrailer for the maiden voyage in our new trailer. It appeared these items would not be arriving before we left, but after a quick phone call to etrailer and a conversation with Steve Z. in customer service our inverter was on it's way by 10:00 am that morning. It did indeed arrive in 2 days giving us time to hook this up. We were thrilled as we wanted to put this trailer to work off the grid. Great service. Thank you so much.

by:

I finally received my Go Power IC3000 after a nearly three-week delay. Unfortunately, I missed my window of opportunity to get it installed this year, so I am not able to complete a review of the product at this time. I can say, installation is going to be quite a challenge. The item is large and heavy. Finding a suitable location that meets all the requirements is going to be difficult. The batteries are located at the front of the trailer, while the AC lines are on the other side of the basement. Since the inverter cannot be located in the same area as the batteries, I'm not sure I am going to be able to reach everything and maintain the 10' maximum length requirement of the 0000 DC cable. We will see what happens next spring. I will post a follow-up review post-installation if possible.

by:

etrailer always does great!

by:

Great price and very fast shipping. Best place for all your trailer needs

by:

The inverter works very well. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the front of the unit is made with cheap plastic. The screws that hold the electric outlet in the front of the unit is embedded into the plastic. The plastic broke the first time I plugged into the outlet. I was leaving in two days to go on a trip to Utah so did not send it back. I voided the warranty by opening the unit, reinforced the outlet by sandwiching the plastic front in between two pieces of aluminum and used screws to hold the outlet in place. Since doing this, everything has worked flawlessly.

I would not buy this item again due to the plastic front.

by:

Ordered Monday night at 6:30 pm and it showed up Thursday at noon with the free shipping option. Can’t beat that! Now I get to install over the weekend instead of waiting until the original arrival date of Monday. Will give 4 stars for now until it’s installed and working. Hefty unit at 50 lbs. install in my 2015 Amped 28FS looks like it will be very straight forward. Thanks etrailer for the quick shipping. Now I can’t wait to do some serious boondocking especially when my solar is installed and I can minimize the generator running!

by:

Everything went well. I’m very pleased with the service & Inverter.

  • Replacement 2000 Watt Inverter for 2000 Watt Thermo King
It could be that your inverter is bad and in need of being replaced like with the Go Power Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34278156. Or the battery your RV runs on is in need of replacing or charging? It would depend also on the light that is blinking on your inverter and what that normally indicates based on it's manual.
