Can I Run Everchill Refrigerator with AC Power from Modified Sine Wave Converter

Question:

Will this refrigerator work on modified sine wave? I have a Jupiter 2000 watt inverter that produces modified sine wave current. Most home refrigerators work on sine wave current. Thanks

As long as your inverter has the capacity to meet the startup and running capacities of a refrigerator, you are able to run the Everchill # 324-000110, which has an amp draw of 0.8 amps. With that being said, it's likely not going to run as efficiently as it would run while being powered by a pure sine wave inverter and could potentially run hot at times. You'll want to make sure that the refrigerator unit is well vented and not stored in a cabinet or anything of the sort.

For this reason you may want to consider upgrading to a pure sine wave inverter like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave # 34278156 which offers the same 2000 watt capacity as your existing inverter, but will provide you with much cleaner and steady power AC power from your DC battery.
