Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products privacy latch for RV screen doors. Now this is going to let you have a latch on your RV screen door but still be able to lock it if you want to. So you can keep out any kind of nosy neighbors or anybody else.So on the front, which would, this portion will be the front of that. And you can still open it normally. That's going to deploy the little latch there so you can open things up.
But then from the inside, you have the option of pressing down on this tab, which will lock that piston or that piece in place. So once that snaps down in place, now from the outside, we can't push that in. So we won't be able to have anybody come in and bug us. But from the inside, we can press again on that center piece and that will release our lock. It pops out that little tab again, so if you want to lock it, you do have to press it down each time you exit with that button there.It comes with the two pieces, the exterior and interior piece there come preassembled.
The screws I just have in there so you can get an idea of what it looks like, sort of, together. Of course your door would be going in between here, so you wouldn't actually see the bolts going through. This works best for a door that is between three quarters of an inch and an inch and a quarter thick. So anything wider than that or thicker than that, this probably won't be able to fit in there. It also comes with the landing pad or the striker pad, so as that door...
Or actually it would be the other way. As that door opens up, it'll come in here and find its place to rest. It also comes with the hardware to mount that into our door frame. So we'll have a snug place for that door to get caught or that striker to be captured in.It does come in this brown color. It's covered by JR Products' limited lifetime warranty, or their lifetime warranty.
As far as the size side to side of our handles, they're about two and a half inches wide by about two and a half inches long. That's for the interior handle. The exterior is about two inches by about two and a half.That's pretty much going to do it for our look at the JR Products privacy latch for RV screen doors in brown. This door latch is an exact replacement for the one that broke on the bathroom door of my RV. Like the one that broke, its not a high quality part, but it works and is easy to install. It took less than five minutes to install.

This was my second time to use etrailer and was pleasantly surprised by how fast I got what I needed. Unfortunately one of my items was not in stock after I placed an online order.
