Hose to go From 100 Propane Tank to Regulator

Question:

I am looking at using Item # 100914-120-MBS to connect a dual fuel portable generator to a 100 pound propane tank for home use. I already have a POL to QCC1 adapter. The hose would be between the tank and the regulator. Is this the correct way to do this? Additionally, do I need to make something to hold the regulator in the same orientation it would be in if it were still attached to the tank? By the way, it was nice to find a quality, US made product instead of the iffy import stuff. Thank you in advance for your response.

To go from a 100 lb propane tank to a regulator normally requires a hose like the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail Hose # 100019-36 which has a POL fitting for the tank on one side and a male inverted flare on the other. This hose is 3 foot long. For something longer we have the part # 37207-30685 which is 12 feet long.
