Dual Folding Arms with Anti-Sway Cradles

Saris Glide EX Folding Arms

The Saris Glide EX has dual arms that offer excellent support for your bikes. They slope up to provide ground clearance for steep driveways and bumpy roads.

Saris Glide EX Folding Arms

To fold the arms down, pull up the lever at the top of the mast. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And when stored in this configuration, it doesn't take up as much space in your garage.

Saris Glide EX Anti Sway Cradles

Each set of anti-sway cradles has two straps that secure your bike along the top tube and one that secures the seat post or downtube. This multi-point contact helps keep your bikes from rocking back and forth, reducing bike-to-bike contact.

Easy, 1-Hand Tilting for Cargo Area Access

Saris Glide EX Hanging-Style Rack Tilting

The rack tilts down with or without your bikes loaded. This means you won't have to remove the whole rack or your bikes to access your cargo area for grocery runs and other errands.

Saris Glide EX UpperHand Lever

To tilt the rack, simply squeeze the trigger on the hand grip. This lets you effortlessly glide the bikes away from your vehicle using only one hand. As the bikes move away from the vehicle, the dual arms tilt upward and stop at a 34.5-degree angle, leaving ample ground clearance during the entire motion.

Threaded Hitch Pin, Adapter, and Complete Security

Saris Glide EX Adapter Sleeve and Hitch PinSaris Glide EX Threaded Hitch Pin

A threaded hitch pin is included that helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport. To tighten the pin in your hitch, use a 3/4" wrench (sold separately). It includes a lock to secure the rack to your vehicle.

Saris Glide EX Adapter Sleeve and Hitch Pin

You can install the rack in a 1-1/4" hitch or in a 2" hitch. To use it in a 1-1/4" hitch, simply remove the adapter with a 5-mm Allen key (not included).

Saris Bones Hitch bike locks

A cable lock is also included to secure your bikes to the rack. The integrated cable threads around your bikes' frames and inserts into the lock at the end of the right arm. The cable stores inside the mast when not in use.

Available Adapter Bar

Saris Glide EX Adapter Sleeve and Hitch Pin

If you have a women's bike, kid's bike, or any other bike without a straight, horizontal top tube, you will need an adapter bar (sold separately) to properly mount your bike. The bar fits between the seat post and handlebar stem post of your bike to create a top tube so your bike hangs level on the rack.

  • Hitch Bike Rack Recommendation to Clear Rear Spare of 2007 Jeep Liberty
12 to 13 inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pin on the bike rack out to the nearest part of the rack is a bit more than most bike racks will have including the Saris Glide part # SA774 you referenced. Best option we have for you is the Swagman Titan 2-bike rack part # S63400 which measures 14-1/2" inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar of the carrier. I attached a review video for this rack on a similar 2012 Jeep Liberty for you. It does not have...

  • Bike Rack Options For A 2023 Hyundai Tucson
Hello again Michelle. The Saris Glide EX Bike Rack # SA774 will indeed fit a 2023 Hyundai Tucson with a class 3 hitch. The tilt feature will allow the hitch to open and close normally. Saris bike racks are definitely good quality. They are all made here in the USA. I would put the quality of their racks up there with other major brands like Thule or Yakima. They are reliable, durable, and known to be user-friendly. They do come with a lifetime warranty. Generally, I do recommend using...

  • Recommended 4-Bike Rack for a 2021 Mazda CX-5 W/ A 2" Hitch
The only real "downside" between using the Saris Glide EX Bike Rack for 5 Bikes # SA775 over the Saris Glide EX Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # SA774 is the fact that the 5 bike rack version is slightly heavier (39-lbs vs 37) and it doesn't have as high per-bike weight capacity (35-lbs per-bike vs 30-lbs per-bike), other than that they are the exact same. I was also looking at the Saris Glide # SA774 you mention and you shouldn't need to use any adapters to work with your Mazda. This bike rack...

  • Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Recommendation that Lets Rear Hatch Open on 2009 Toyota RAV4
For a 4-bike rack that you can tilt with the bikes still loaded, take a look at the Inno Tire Hold # INH142. This rack tilts down so that you might can open the rear hatch and keep the bikes loaded. It would depend on how much the bikes interfere with the hatch and the design of your hatch. I have linked a video review of this rack for you. For a hanging style rack that would for sure give you access to your hatch, take a look at he Yakima FullSwing # Y02465. It swings away from the vehicle...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation to Carry 4 Bikes on 2006 Subaru Outback
First off, this a great question, since these racks have different styles, but offer a lot of the same features like tilt away and folding up-and they're all compatible with 2" hitch receivers. Not all tilt-aways can be tilted fully loaded. We have the Inno Tire Hold # INH142 that can tilt fully loaded. What the decision really comes down to are the benefits of a platform bike rack like the Inno over hanging racks like the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465. In short, While I absolutely love...

  • Can The Saris Glide EX 4 Bike Rack Be Used With A Class I Trailer Hitch On A 2021 Mazda CX-5
The Saris EX 4 # SA774 is designed to be used with class II trailer hitches, so unfortunately, this will not work for your class I trailer hitch on your 2021 Mazda CX-5. The shank on class II hitch mounted accessories is longer, and will not physically fit into class I trailer hitches to prevent you from overloading your hitch. With you having a class I trailer hitch installed, you will be unable to carry 4 bikes at once because it will likely overload your hitch. With that being said,...
