We didn’t want a conventional fifth wheel hitch dominating our pickup bed. This hitch was a perfect solution. We had the bed structure installed professionally and the extension went our 2018 Highland Open Range Lite within seconds. The ball release mechanism operates smoothly. Because you do need to manually flip the ball I recommend taking a plastic grocery sack to keep the lithium grease off of your hands...but this is a small trade off. Our Ram 2500 4x4 sits high so there was a little learning curve when hitching the two units. Great quality in machining and mechanisms.

The bulldog goose neck coupler fits the hitch on the front of my travel trailer as advertised. However the pin that secures it is an inch short. The supplied pin is 5” and it needs to be 6”. I sent a picture and description of the problem to Carol C. A week ago and followed up with a phone call a few hours later and was told by the girl that answered the phone that she needed to get with bulldog. To date I have herd nothing from anyone. I would not consider this to be good service after the sale and would not recommend Etrailer as a product supplier.

Nice, well built product. It came unpainted so be prepared to prep and paint. I scrubbed mine with acetone and a green scrub pad and painted with satin black paint/primer combo. A nice feature is the warning decals came installed with tape over them so can paint, remove the tape and be done. Also, this won’t be an issue for most but we have a homemade hitch receiver mounted on our KingCombo pin box for a bike rack so I had to trim an inch off the top of the tube. It’s 5/16” thick so it was a bit of a pain. I really like that it got rid of the 5th wheel hitch out of the bed of the truck. This item was installed on a 2017 Open Range 293RLS 5th wheel.

Product was an identical replacement for a damaged gooseneck coupler. Couldn't have been easier.

Changed out King Pin hitch to Gooseneck on an Open Range Light 318RLS. The hitch does come unpainted. Painted it to match the trailer. Works and looks great.

I purchased a Bulldog Gooseneck Coupler to replace one on a new trailer I do not like. I also purchased LED tail lights for my Featherlite Cattle Trailer. I know I received the lowest price possible as the price on the coupler dropped and I sent an email concerning this. Etrailer staff quickly adjusted the price difference and refunded my credit card account. I have not installed the coupler yet as I am having it powder coated, but I test fitted it and it worked perfectly! I recommend to anyone to give etrailer.com a chance to earn your business!!

Excellent replacement for a 20 some year old gooseneck hitch. It self centers nicely and compensates for being up to about an inch off center. Locking mechanism works well and is very secure.

This worked for a replacement of one that was on a gooseneck hay trailer. The one I replaced was homemade and didn't work the greatest. This one is great and only took a bit of retrofitting to make it work. They upgraded shipping for me at no extra charge.

Read "Product details" carefully. This "Adjustable Coupler Base" does not include the "outer" Tube, which is the part that you weld to the goose-neck and makes it "adjustable". This is virtually like buying an automobile without tires.
