Secure, Two-Piece Jaw

Q24 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Three-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q24 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

Solid hitch, fedex damn near destroyed the box it came in though.

2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty

I'm quite sure it will work perfectly once I go buy the hardware to install it. The boxes (and I use that term very loosely) had more holes than a colander. UPS was not happy to be delivering such heavy boxes. I did receive the plastic bag that at 1 time I believe held the washers ans nuts. Sadly there weren't any washers or nuts. Eventually I will go to the hardware store and get what is missing. But I shouldn't have to.

2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty

I was looking for a fifth wheel hitch to fit my new F350 with the Ford 5th wheel prep kit. I found the Curt Q24 at etrailer.com at a good price with free shipping. It arrived in perfect condition. Assembly and installation was simple, it fits the Ford prep kit perfectly and looks great.

by:

Packaging was severely damaged! Product had missing parts
That required a trip to the Home Depot. The hitch is also covered in scratches.

I am so sorry to hear that! I will have our customer service team reach out to you about this. You shouldnt be required to make a hardware store run after purchasing a new hitch.

2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty

The items I ordered shipped the next day, I had them within a few days. The assembly of the hitch was really easy, 4 bolts and lock washers torqued to 100 ft lbs. The only thing out of adjustment was the legs for the ford hitch prep. The clamps are adjusted using a castle nut and pin, I had to back out the four castle nut's about a quarer to half turn to be able to latch them to my truck. But it was nice having that come pre assembled. The hitch is a great quality. I like the color system red to un latch, yellow to couple and green to tow. I just don't know how to close the jaws when the unit is not in use.

by:

This was easy to assemble, install and adjust. Reviewed “How to” videos online – easy enough. All tools needed are in my toolbox. Tools used: 13/16” ratchet-box-end wrench, 13/16” x ½”-socket, ½”-drive torque wrench and a needle nose pliers for the cotter pins. It took longer to unpack than to install.

by:
2012 Ford F-450 Super Duty

The hitch is doing great. As noted in other reviews, the shipping was a concern. The box was pretty severely damaged when it arrived. I actually found a bolt laying on the ground when I moved the box. However, after opening everything up, all pieces and hardware were accounted for and nothing was missing. And customer support was actually very nice about it. They acknowledged the torn box (from pictures they received from the delivery service) and actually followed up without being asked to ensure no parts or pieces were missing. So overall, I’m happy with the experience.

by:
Ford F-350 Super Duty

Received the order just a few days after ordering. Packaging was a little beaten up but everything was there.
Had to adjust the pre-assembled handles that connect to the truck bed. They were just too tied (Ford F350 DRW).
Otherwise assembly was easy. Took me only about an hour including the adjustment.
Looking forward to put it to work on a 45 feet 5th wheel RV trailer.

by:
2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty

etrailer was awesome to deal with! I went with the Curt 24 it is heavy built and easy to assemble and install in the new ford puck system. I will be towing a 38ft fifth wheel with this new system. I will buy all my truck/trailer accessories through etrailer form here on out!

by:
2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Ordered a Curt 24K fifth wheel hitch from e trailer.
Hitch arrived as stated in good shape, the only problem was there was no bolting hardware for the legs in the boxes. I just went down to the local hardware store and purchased the 4- 14mm bolts. Assembly was easy, the hitch is installed.

Ford F-350 Super Duty

I ordered and quickly received it. Installed without an issue. Excellent hitch installed in my 2023 F350 with the puck system. Replaced my previous B&W companion. The Curt Q24 seems more solid. No noise or rattles.

by:

Can't say enough good about my experience. I ordered the hitch at 2.00 pm and it was out the door in less than 2 hours received the hitch in 2 days. How can you improve on that?

by:

The hitch itself does what it’s supposed to. But whoever packaged this thing should be fired. I have been in the trucking industry for over 30 years and there is no way that a fifth wheel hitch should be shipped in a cardboard box and expect it to make it wear ever it’s going without looking like someone rolled it down a flight of stairs. If you’re going to put something that heavy in a box then band it to a skid so people can move it without beating it up

by:
2018 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Really happy with the ease of installation of this product with the OEM legs. Thankfully the head is removable making it easier to take out (weight wise).
Has grease fittings for easy lubrication, clear indicators on the handle for engagement and disengage. Very happy with this product

by:
2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty

I am amazed at the simplicity and durability of this product. I have three little girls four, six, seven who assisted me in putting this together in about 30 minutes. That includes the mount and reading the instructions. Onto my 20,000 pound fifth wheel and family trips. Factory polyethylene and plastic mount included in the picture

by:
2016 Ford Five Hundred

I have nothing but good to say bout this hitch I installed it on a 2016 Ford f350 this truck came pre installed with tow package I installed it on my truck at less then 500 miles on it and have towed over 20,000 miles without any issue. Thanks for a great product....

by:
2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Looks really good and easy to put together and install. Well build only issue is adjusting the castle nut and cotter pin. I couldn't get to be snuggle per installation. I had to leave the cotter pins off and will try to adjust later.

by:
2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty

PACKAGING ON THE CURT HITCH WAS ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE. VERY LITTLE PACKAGING WAS IN THE BOX AND BOX WAS JUST ABOUT TOTALLY DESTORYED. VERY POOR.

by:

I called customer service the day after I purchased and tried to cancel the order when I realized I ordered the wrong item by mistake, and I wanted to swap for the correct item. The guy on customer service said he could only do it for a 340 dollar return fee. The Package was damaged when arrived. All together a bad experience here.

Author was superb with my purchase of my hitch, from the phone call to the purchase he made sure I had the correct hitch for my truck, fast delivery and the package was in excellent shape, no damage whatsoever. I highly recommend etrailer for anything to do with towing, will definitely be a return customer.

by:

Items were exactly as described. Took about 10 minutes to read the instructions and about 30 minutes to install. Would have been quicker but I have blown discs in my lower back and to go slow so I didn’t strain my back

by:

I had a Great experience with my order and Installation. Installed with my buddy in less than a half an hour.

Ford F-350 Super Duty

I love my Curt Q24 5th Wheel Hitch. There are very few steps required to install the legs but be certain to have a very sturdy platform if doing so off of the ground. And have a 1/2 inch torque wrench available. The box was beat up when it arrived and the bolts were missing, but eTrailer and Curt replaced them promptly. What I love about this hitch is the ease of installing it into my Ford F350 bed and ease of removal when needed. Just line up the 4 pins with the integrated hitch, turn the locking handles and pin them together to prevent opening back up. I have just a standard pin box and don't experience much chucking at all.

by:
2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty

I ordered the 24K 5th wheel hitch ton fit the Ford factory mounting sustem. It is easy to install and remove. The lever locking pins work great, but does not provide necessary security, so I added a lock to one side. The hitch operates as designed, but could use more flexibility in movement. Disconnected, the kingpin clamps won't close without the plastic kingpin provided. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and the operation of the hitch.

  • Comparing Curt A25 and Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches For 2022 Ford F-350 W/ OEM Puck System
The main differences between the Curt A25 5th Wheel Hitch # C16036 and Q24 # C16545-16017 for the OEM prep package in your 2022 Ford F-350 is that the A25 is compatible with a rotating pin box by using a wedge # C16992, where the Q25 cannot be used with a rotating pin box due to the unique spherical axial bearing that allows too much movement thus making it not compatible with rotating pin boxes. In addition to that the A25 uses an interlocking jaw design which is a nice improvement...

The frame on the 2017 has changed from the 2016 so an after market under bed installation kit is not available. If you have the fifth wheel prep package on your 2017, you can install the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # C16545-16017.

For as large a trailer as you have, a 42-foot 20,000-lb-GVWR Landmark 5th wheel, I absolutely recommend using a 24K-rated 5th wheel hitch to give you some safety margin. Your 2017 F-350 dually is an excellent truck to tow this trailer, especially since it is a long bed that will naturally give you good turning clearance. And since you have the factory rail kit option you can use any of the three hitches shown on the linked page. All fit the factory pucks. Curt's Q24 hitch # C16545-16017...

The biggest difference is between the A series and Q series hitches.
